KC and SF didn't play H2H this year. Here are their common opponents: Min and GB (2x)

vs. Min:
KC: W, 26-23
SF: W, 27-10

vs. GB:
KC: L, 31-24
SF: W, 37-8; W, 37-20

So: KC 1-1; GB 3-0

Not sure if that tells us anything, but it's something I guess.

the only two losses the Chiefs have with Mahomes starting is Indy & Tennessee. and he was gimpy in both I believe.

we were eager to bury them at 6-4 after a special teams disaster let Tennessee win, but they haven't lost since.

Here
Jimmy G’s job is to stand there and look pretty, which is what makes him truly elite.

The playoffs have been very boring and it's really weird to see how widespread the "how nice it is to not have the Patriots playing" sentiment is. Aside from the fact that it's always fun to root against the villain, last year at this time the whole country was glued to their TV watching an instant classic in NE @ KC. Hope these people enjoyed Ryan Tannehill in the championship game.

So football zebras tweeted about the immediate flag on the holding penalty.
According to them, that flag was thrown because the formation looked illegal. That flag was picked up and the holding flag was off screen.

That’s the best they could come up with?

Is there video of the Corrente flag anywhere?
It’s given away by the line judge’s mechanics. It’s thrown directly into the air, which means it is a presnap foul. Fouls during play are thrown to the spot.

Except for apparently Corrente's since it's not even in the frame. :)

Seriously, I'm a little confused by the explanation. What did he think was illegal? Did he think someone was convered up?

Could have just been a bad toss, Corrente is like 100 years old after all.

EDIT: Just watched it again, the "tight end" has an ineligible number so the WR is allowed to cover him up. The wing may not have been able to see the number. Either way they picked it up.

Good point on the vantage point, I could see how that could be missed real time.

Yeah, that's the only thing I could see him calling. It looks like they only have 3 (including the qb) off the line so
I can see the reasoning but he also shouldn't be guessing. Not a big deal though. Not even a blip as far as NFL officiating goes.

The wing official thinks he has a foul but knows another official needs to give him a piece of information to confirm. A lot of this is about optics. If he throws the foul and picks it up, then it looks like the officials are working together to get it right.

If he holds the flag in order to get the information late, and they end up throwing a pre-snap foul 5 seconds after the play ends...well, then it looks like they're making shit up. Murphy's law would have the offense score a TD in that situation too I'm sure.
