Shooting less than 50% from the field probably isn't going to get it done. Giannis 16/16 might though.
8 three’s, 32 points and the Game Winner? C’mon man, one time!!

I’m guessing Steph gets it though right?

Edit: Oh shit it was Paul 60-1......Dame is only 12-1. I’ll still take it LFG!!

Mickey Arison was born in Israel and Myers is out for the season with an expiring contract. Who knows what Miami will decide but it would be surprising if they don't cut him. Its tough for the Heat because his contract has value in a trade but its hard to see teams wanting anything to do with him now.

After this incident and the anthem stuff in the bubble its clear that Leonard has some very problematic views which may cost him his career. But he has also made $60mm so people shouldn't be too worried for him.

What?
I didn’t know about the not kneeling stuff, but if you showed me the names of all the players in the NBA and asked me to pick the one who is my fellow Jew, it would be Meyers Leonard.

NBA-TV is showing the ASG game again, and it occurred to me that the lineup that scored 27 points in the final 3:41 of the second quarter might be the best offensive quintet we’ve ever seen, Jokic/Giannis/Curry/Lillard/Paul.

Curry and Lillard alone would be unbelievably devastating; you would have two guys that you would have to guard at all times anywhere up to 35 feet from the basket.

When the NBA expands and awards Bron the Vegas Rollers we'll see his Owner/GM skills up close for years. The next Jerry West.

Spurs up 7 in Dallas late 2Q. Lonnie Walker does his own thing in getting stuck behind a screen without giving much effort that resulted in a wide open Hardaway jumper. Pop jumps onto the court as he calls for a timeout and lays into Walker HARD on the baseline for a good 20 seconds.

Wow, Willie Cauley-Stein with your lazy, dirty cheap ass play as he shoves his man, Poetl, into a penetrating Patty Mills to take him out as he left the ground. Clearly not a basketball play. This should be a Flagrant 2 ejection. This is like playground stuff that results in a brawl at best and a shooting at worst.

Edit: After lengthy review it’s ruled a Flsgrant 1. Damn....this was some 80’s type shit.

Edit2: I was a WSC fanboy when he was coming out of Kentucky. I know he has a lot of interests outside of basketball, most notably as an artist, but to me he looks like a guy who doesn’t care about working on his game or his body to stick around in this league.

Yup. His play from 2017-2018 showed the type of player he could have been but he just doesn’t want it. Too bad since the physical tools are still impressive.

Mavs decided to rest Luka and Porzingis with the expectation that they could beat the Thunder without them. The Thunder had different ideas.... Very salty over there at Mavs Moneyball. I love it when fans of other teams call the Thunder a G-League team.

Over his last 26 games, RJ Barret is averaging 30.8 mpg, 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists on .490/.479/.750 shooting.

Still amazes me the Knicks have the best defense in the NBA. I keep waiting for them to fall apart but they may just be a playoff team.

Aleksej Pokusevski may well have an NBA careers in front of him- I don’t write off kids at barely 19- but he might be the worst NBA player I can remember seeing at this point and I worry that OKC continuing to give him minutes will destroy his confidence. In 330 minutes this year, he’s putting up a 7.7/7.5/2.7 per 36 slash on an astonishing 33 TS%(those will go down after the stinker he’s currently putting up vs the Knicks) He’s shooting 6.8 3Pt/36 at 19% and he’s been to the line twice this season.

He is blocking 2.7/36 and has a really low foul rate, so maybe something’s there on defense, but poor kid is just in completely over his head. Twitter draft nerds loved him even though he looks like Austin Daye’s anorexic cousin, but he has a long way to goto avoid becoming the Last Dragan.

Quickley, on the other hand, continues to impress. I dunno if he can run point, but he should be starting in that backcourt soon.

They have a brutal second half schedule and I can’t believe Randle can keep this up all year, but they’re very deep. I think they’ll end up 8-10, somewhere in there.

If you put Quickley and Clarkson, my 6th man of Year the last two seasons, in a gym together would you be able to tell them apart? Kid is a scoring machine.

Quickley seems like a young Lou Williams to me. May be better coming off the bench but dude is legit. Real nice find by the Knicks.

Elder statesman Carmelo Anthony is a joy. He is just out there balling for fun. He passed Hakeem for 11th on the all time scoring list tonight. He helped the Blazers beat a pesky TWolves team by doing stuff like this as well as bucket getting.
I thought we had seem the last of Melo following his Rockets release. He came into this year in shape and ready to fit into the role of floor spacing and secondary iso score and yes, Melo is flat out ballin!! Glad he’s going to be able to go out one day on his terms.

No Siakam, no VV. I'd hold off on the obituary.

Another nice game from Lamelo Ball though, 23/9/6, 6/9 from 3. Way more to him than I expected.
Yeah between the Covid thing, no coach, still short handed and not living in the country they were expecting to be living.......these Raptors haven’t had an easy go of it.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Lowry on Phila and they try to retain Powell.

Also read that they are not thrilled with the Siakam deal.

FVV, OG, Boucher, and keeping Powell is a nice young core while adding ascending youngsters + picks

What a difference a day makes. 24/10/4 today against the Griz, and doubles his season FTA. Forget 50/40/90, he’s working on the rare 23/18/100 season.

Poku is the youngest player in Thunder history to score over 20 in a game. (OKC doesn't include Seattle's numbers in its record books.)
Also, he's is the youngest player in NBA history with 20+ points, 10+ rebounds, 5+ threes in a game.

The 2021 Thunder is the Island of Misfit Toys. Has there ever been a roster this full of goofy looking, non-NBA body type players?

I wonder how much love Daigneault, in I believe his first head job at any level, will receive for COY for this team flying under the radar but just below .500 in the WC.

Up-and-down Warriors with probably their best win of the season on Steph's 33rd birthday, a 131-119 wire-to-wire job v. the Jazz.

Biggest Ws news post all-star break is that Kerr has officially committed to big rotation minutes for baby Jordan Poole and Nico Mannion along with Wiseman — effectively ending the Brad Wanamaker experience, and relegating guys like Lee and Mulder to DNPs. So far — in garbage time v. the Clips and tonight with the game in the balance — they've responded really well.

Tonight:

Curry 32 pts (10-20 fg, 6-9 threes), 5 reb, 9 ast
Green 11 pts, 12 reb, 12 ast, 4 stl
Wiggins 28 pts (12-16 fg), 3 stl
Wiseman 16 pts (8-11 fg), 4 reb, one nice block of Spidah
Poole 18 pts (6-11 fg)

On the other side: Gobert with 24 pts (8-10 fg), 4 blocks and ... a career-high 28 rebounds.

Was head coach of the OKC Blue. Thunder fans have joked that he's still coaching a G-League team.....
Ah gotcha I thought he had followed Donovan from Florida to the OKC bench. When a guy like Donovan brings a young college assistant with him that’s a huge tell that the assistant is the real deal.

He did follow Donovan from Florida, but ended up coaching the Blue for 5 years. But, then, he re-joined Billy Donavan on the bench last year. Interestingly, Daigneault began his career as UConn team manager under Calhoun.

Calhoun is Kevin Bacon of coaching. My college coach at Dean back in the day played under Calhoun at Northeastern. One Saturday afternoon we played Mitchell College and the team was Calhouns guest at the UConn game that night. First class stuff.

On a sample size of 2 games, Van Gundy calling out his underachieving Pelicans team seems to be working. Two blow-outs, the first against the Cavs is maybe not so terribly impressive, but running away from the Clippers tonight is a bit surprising.
