Love that Denver plays Bol as a gigantic wing. He's super fun, he's like a spider running the break.

19.7% on 5.5!!!! attempts per game. Shooters gonna shoot is right.
The thing is, his volume has gone up after his 1-21 start during the first four games. He was averaging around five APG then and now its increased. To be fair, he has been drilling threes at a 26.7 clip over those eight games so the increased takes make perfect sense.

This Warrior team is one of those squads that has the potential to give even the best teams a ballgame. But even with a healthy Thompson, they don't appear have enough scoring to weather Curry's off minutes, poor shooting nights and/or opposing defenses boxing-and-1ing him. They need another bucket getter like oxygen but so too does the entire league.

That said ,Wiseman looks impressive out of the gates even with the typical signs of inexperience. Lots can happen but given his early relative comfort and abilities on an NBA court, Wiseman is going to be an problem for opposing teams on both ends. His game is easy to love.

Khris Middleton is such a baller. I know he’s tight with Nesmith- I hope our young sniper is studying big bro’s game.

Don't know a ton about shooting but I believe his release point on FTs needs to be lower and more in front. He's releasing the ball over his head it looks like.
Something is definitely going on. But his FT regression has seemingly gone on for a while. Used to be 74-77% and now sitting in low 60s for last 75+ games.

One issue could be that he's working so hard, he's in-between. I think he has different form for his FTs and his 3P shot and I think his release on his 3P shot is marginally better.

Also, I just looked at their schedule - its been a cupcake so far. Seems like they are repeating last season's "destroy the shit teams and juice the point differential numbers" gambit.

Giannis looked real good shooting them in ore game earlier this year to where it was noticeable. The problem isn’t about anything more than between the ears. He’s overthinking and aiming the ball not unlike Shaq back in the day. I’ll go back to what I always say about the game of basketball......it is a reactionary game, not a thinking game. If you are out on the floor thinking you are in a world of trouble. That’s Giannis at the FT line.

Zach LaVine may not be the NBA's most well-rounded player, but he's an amazingly effortless scorer. He was 8 for 14 from long range last nite against OKC, and he's still an off-the-charts athlete.

Yeah, but he sucked during the fourth quarter and allowed the Thunder to tie the game after being down 22 points. Let's hear it for Dort --- 21 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 1 block! And Shai -- 33 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds!

Kevin Durant is completely ridiculous. Makes it look soo easy. I have no doubt he could score 100 if he just went out and decided to. Instead he always respects the game and plays the right way, damn him.

Harden with a triple double. Playing hard, being generous with the ball, and fighting for rebounds.

He's epically great but his behavior in Houston was as bad as it gets. It's a shame he was rewarded for his nonsense. That said, Houston got paid for the hassle, so I guess they can't complain too much.

Whoa, thanks to checking out Ben Simmons' amazing shooting stats, I just noticed that Basketball Reference keeps track of "heaves" — which means we can actually determine players' true 3FG% instead of the phony BS number they've been force-feeding us all these years? I'll go to my grave ranting it: **buzzer heaves are not the same as shot attempts.**

So, just to choose one example at random...

Steph Curry fake news career 3FG%: .433
Steph Curry actual career 3FG% (excluding heaves): .439

Goddammit, that is not a trivial difference! The NBA seriously needs to rectify this injustice post-haste. The current dumb rule hurts a lot of other players' numbers, too, but Steph has to be among the most punished by it, as he's one of the few players who will always opt to heave it in order to marginally improve his team's chances of winning, rather than swallow it to protect his precious 3FG%

Quickie comparison of career heaves among fellow 3 pt bombers:

Curry 81
Harden 17
Lillard 17
Thompson 16
Durant 9

Damn. Don't be surprised to find me sleeping in front of Adam Silver's office with a "HEAVES ARE NOT ATTEMPTS" placard by my side...

I kind of feel similarly about a QB throwing the ball away instead of taking a sack

Marginal improvement at winning but looks bad for stats

Did anyone see that Kanter had 5 blocks last night against Atlanta? ??? So now that's part of his game?

He had a big block game or two last year iirc. They were really strips though (he has very good hands).

For the amount of hate he gets around here, he was very efficient during the regular season last year
For $5MM, not a bad bench BIG for specific matchups

Brad Machine at its best

Ojeleye doing his best Kelly Oubre impersonation here in the 2H. Three possessions.....three missed threes.....none within the natural flow of the offense.

Luka is just incredible. Sick behind the back dribble to himself instantly to a behind the back pass for an easy dunk

Cavs are done with Kevin Porter Jr.

https://theathletic.com/2329971/2021/01/18/kevin-porter-jr-cleveland-cavaliers-trade-release/?source=fbhq&fbclid=IwAR2VCHua6MHlbHDKA_oRTM32XlDJJGK1-QAtA3oG2a6DNIQ7zJHgd8VANpo
Porter, 20, who has not played this season due to personal issues, grew angry when he entered the locker room and realized the team gave his old locker to Taurean Prince, who was acquired in a blockbuster trade Wednesday.

Sources said Porter, whose locker was moved to the wall where the younger, end-of-bench players reside, began yelling and at one point threw food.
Sources said general manager Koby Altman came into the locker room and confronted Porter, and the player remained combative with his boss. The Cavs spent the weekend trying to trade him.

Coach J.B. Bickerstaff heard the commotion in the locker room from his office and came in, shocked and disgusted by what he heard.
