A lot of this crowd, though, will be season ticket holders who paid face value. A couple hundred bucks. Plus, rich people can be anti-GOP for many more reasons than the economy.‘Merica!
Bunch of people with $1,500 spare cash lying around for a baseball ticket booing a billionaire.
Pitching to him was the best thing the NYYs did.Wait, I thought this forum told me Alvarez was overmatched in the post-season.
So, I don't see how you could "win." If people were cheering, then they would have to film them and do a study of the film to determine who cheered right. Unless it was on the honor system? (I don't think I understand this, at all, by the way. A person was paired with each number? And the crowd is not cheering to be winners but to pick winners?) Okay, now I'll drop it.People cheered for the answer they thought correct.
The prize for winners was breakfast at Bickfords. Second place got two breakfasts. Or so I was told. I have never been inside a Bickfords.
Maybe but with quite a few outs left, this game is not over yet.Soto's homer feels like too little too late.
Stupid compensation.that makeup call doesn't matter shit
It’s always been this bad, but the box on the broadcasts has now made the problem plain for all to see.Barksdale is either blind or corrupt. Either way, he cannot do any more post-season games. If you are on the fence about baseball, the umpiring is enough to make this unwatchable. Horrible.
It was a crowd participation exercise, that’s all.So, I don't see how you could "win." I think the umpiring has been, on balance, ok this postseason. But tonight's strike zone is awful. That called strike to Robles was a place a hitter would never swing - even to protect. Shoulder high and outside by three inches isn't even a strike in the Little League game I saw today that was umpired by a Ben Bernanke look-alike with a flannel shirt and a fluid notion of balls and strikes. It’s always been this bad, but the box on the broadcasts has now made the problem plain for all to see.
It really is. Its an embarrassment and the league needs to really look at it. It also would eliminate the idea of the make-up call which is terrible in and of itself.Tonight's strike zone is Exhibit A for robots-umps for ball/strikes. It's making a farce of the game.
Yes. And that person's name is Lance Barksdale.Martinez has a look like somebody pissed in his coffee.
He'll fall asleep holding a newborn and wake up incapacitated.Whelp. Strasburg better pitch a gem on Tuesday night.
