306, row 14
This should be a hell of a week. Great golf course and it will be on in prime time here in the east. Brooks goes for 3 Open’s in a row and 5 out of 9 majors. Tiger won a US Open by a billion here. Rory’s coming off a win and a 61 today. DJ returning to site of a major meltdown. Spieth’s had a strong run of play. Phil is looking for the elusive grand slam completing win, but he blew it by winning at Pebble earlier this season. Of course it also wouldn’t be a US Open without nervousness over the USGA’s setup!

Can’t wait for Thursday.

I'm going for Thursday and Friday. Really looking forward to it, I went when it was at Olympic 5-6 years ago. EDIT: wow, that was 7 years ago?!?!

Betting odds ahead of the tourney:

Brooks Koepka 7-1
Dustin Johnson 8-1
Tiger Woods 9-1
Rory McIlroy 14-1
Jordan Spieth 14-1
Patrick Cantlay 16-1
Justin Rose 20-1
Jason Day 20-1
Rickie Fowler 20-1
Justin Thomas 25-1
Jon Rahm 25-1
Adam Scott 25-1
Phil Mickelson 25-1
Xander Schauffele 25-1
Francesco Molinari 30-1
Tommy Fleetwood 30-1
Bryson DeChambeau 40-1
Hideki Matsuyama 40-1
Tony Finau 40-1
Matt Kuchar 40-1
Paul Casey 50-1
Brandt Snedeker 50-1
Henrik Stenson 60-1
Webb Simpson 60-1
Marc Leishman 60-1
Gary Woodland 60-1
Louis Oosthuizen 80-1
Patrick Reed 80-1
Sergio Garcia 100-1
Matt Wallace 100-1
Kevin Kisner 100-1
Graeme McDowell 100-1

Koepka actually seems like a decent bet even as the favorite.

Others that stand out to me: Molinary seems like a good pick at 30-1 coming off of his performances at The Open, PGA Championship (2018) and Masters even with his recent unimpressive PGA Championship result.

Has Sergio fallen off that much that he's 100-1? Same thing with Kisner...are odds makers just figuring he doesn't hit it long enough?

I like JT at 25-1 and would have loved to jump on Rory before his victory yesterday.

I just got +2500 on my boy, Rob Oppenheim to win. Odds should probably be higher, but whatever, he wins, I'm partying....

+2500 or +25000?

Ridiculous if the best bet anyone would offer you is equal to Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, Adam Scott, Mickelson or Xander Schauffele.

It's +2500, but basically everyone in the field after Justin Rose is at the same line. Local bookie with a site, so they aren't going to run the risk of paying out 100 dimes on a local kid on a $50 bet or something....

That's criminal. Your local bookie is literally ripping you off. My buddy's bookie is offering +25,000.

Looks like there's basically two waves of notable players teeing off.

From 10:40 AM (ET) - 11:24 AM you have groups featuring Bubba Watson, Zach Johnson, Jon Rahm, Rory, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Phil, Schauffele, Matsuyama, Sergio and Tommy Fleetwood. Then from 4:47 PM - 5:09 PM you have Molinari, Koepka, Adam Scott, Kuchar, Finau, and the super group of Spieth, Rose and Tiger.

Robbie tees off at 11:46 AM on the back 9.

Looks like featured group and hole coverage (which I assume is online at USOpen.com) starts at 10:45 AM (ET) with Rory/Rahm/Leishman and DJ/Phil/McDowell groups.

Featured afternoon groups starting at 4:45 PM (ET) will be Molinari/Koepka/Hovland and Spieth/Rose/Tiger.

Unlucky first hole for Tiger. Great tee shot, good approach and and his birdie putt stays up half an inch short.

I know they aren't new this year, but I like Shane Bacon and Brad Faxon on the commentary...solid and straightforward work. (though Faxon just pronounced Koepka's name wrong).

Tiger finds a way to put himself in terrible positions. He did the same thing at Bethpage and it puts him in a situation where he has to dominate holes to make a comeback.
