Damn, we got our money's worth tonight. Two incredible flights.

I agree with LM, that the Stylebender - Gastellum fight probably should have been a draw, but it also probably should have been stopped in the fifth.

How fucking impressive is Porier, winning wars with two of the toughest guys alive in Gaethje and Holloway?

I like Poirier a lot. He’s tough and can throw.

I also had the other fight a draw.

Is that Brazilian woman going up against Rose next month legit? She looked scary in the promo.

Yes she’s good. She’s the terminator. Just keeps marching forward with a super chin.

I don’t like Rose’s chances. Emotionally unstable fighter going to Brazil to defend...

Rose is emotional in the ring or in general? Hadn’t heard or seen that and she’s one of my faves.

My understanding is that she’s a survivor of sexual abuse and bullying. Mentally ill father. Been in therapy for it. Seems to be a huge source of strength for her, but she sometimes seems to balance on a knife’s edge emotionally.

She fucking out-hearted Jędrzejczyk, twice, though.

She dealt with Johanna’s mind games just find. Listening to her and Pat Barry in a couple different interviews, it seems like they have done a solid job of dealing with her troubled past and using the resiliency she obviously possesses as an advantage.

To the fighting piece, there is a chance Andrade can take her down and smash through Rose’s pretty solid JiuJitsu game. If Andrade can take Rose down early in the fight and control her, it could be a long night. The ultimate fighter finale against Carla Esparza is the fight Andrade will probably try to emulate.

But I think Rose is well equipped to mirror the Johanna game plan that dominated Andrade, strike with combinations down the middle from range, avoiding Andrade’s wide power shots and preventing the takedown. The knockout of Kovalkavich and the grappling domination of Gadehla were impressive, but I don’t think Rose gets hit like that and there is no way she chooses to clinch and grapple like Gadehla did with Andrade. If Rose’s takedown defense holds for the first couple rounds, I think she carves up Andrade.

I like Rose a lot. But I get nervous when I read reports that she wouldn't leave her house months after McGregor's stunt attacking the bus because she was scared, or when I listen to the Rogan podcast and Pat Berry (who has dated her since she was 16 and he was in his 30's) has her believing that she can predict the future.

Normally I don't put a lot in to the mental game, but I think it was a strength for her when she fought Joanna and I could see it being a weakness in Brazil. Then again, Andrade may fold under the pressure of fighting in front of a home crowd.

Wait, she’s a sexual abuse survivor who is with a man she started dating in her teens who was twice her age and nobody shits in Barry?

Listen to the rogan interview with the two of them.

1. I'm not sure why he's even there.
2. It was well over a year ago but IIRC he interjects himself in a lot of stories. I mean, she seems to love him which is cool, you do you, but the dude is off the charts creepy.

Cowboy Cerrone is a bad man. He put a beating on Al Iaquinta that I just didn't expect. I wasn't surprised he won, but damn he looked good. Striking was on point, great kicks, good jab and it seemed that Iaquinta had no answer for Cowboy's reach and just couldn'tget inside enough.

Al is tough though. No questioning his heart.

I thought the weight cut was going to be a problem for Cerrone. It wasn’t. He looked great.

Dudes fought at 155 like 40 times. Yeah he’s getting older but why would this time be an issue?

Cerrone is in a weird spot now. He better hope Conor takes his offer because I don’t see him beating anyone in the top 3 and he hates waiting around to fight.

I could see him taking a dangerous fight with Gaethje or Welcoming tony back.

I don’t see him waiting for the winner of poirier khabib but he should consider it if the ufc would allow it.

I could see him taking a dangerous fight with Gaethje or Welcoming tony back.

I'm sure BJ Penn is searching for one more win so he can retire on a positive note, but at some point you have to just accept fate.

Didn't watch and was only reading the play-by-play, but it looked like Rose was doing great until Andrade picked her up and Hulk smashed her.

Crazy sport. You gotta give up the takedown and not get lifted like that. It’s reminiscent of Rampage slamming Arona in Pride but that was a locked triangle.

I am assuming you were screaming "give up the kimora!!" both times.

You gotta hold on, tuck and protect yourself once you are off of your feet. Especially on the second take down I felt like she had room to turn and create separation with her hips, rather than pursue the kimora counter into oblivion.

Damn Rose looked good prior to that though.

Damn. That’s some crazy strength.

She is strong. Rose could have tried to take the fall better. Happens in a flash, though.

Rose was fighting great. Tough way to lose.

Here is Cormier hitting the same shit. Barnett does 2 things to protect himself and he was ok. Still got a beating but not KO from the throw

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is much body slamming going on with the ladies, especially at the lower weight classes. If Rose got caught by surprise, I'm sure she'll learn from it.

On a positive note, it sounds like her striking has gotten even better. She'll be back.

Edit: Or maybe not, if she's talking about walking away.

Told you guys. I didn't like that fight for Rose.

I do like Joanna's chances at getting the belt back now though...
Yeah but I'm not sure it's the time for a victory lap. Andradre was wearing it until the slam. Having said that I went 3-0 since we're doing victory laps

Lima crushed MVP last night. This DASN ESPN+ is killing mma for me.

Watch this, it’s very good

No I’m saying why wouldn’t you link something from that guys Instagram? Or am I misreading it.
I don’t know how off my phone. I have the app and when I try to click on it through the website it just shoots me over to the app.

Ahhhhh okay I was reading into it too much.

I don’t know what to think about it. It’s certainly an unnatural move with her hand but in midst of spiking her? Weird.

You can copy link in the app. Just click on the ellipse in the corner and it's in that menu. I was confused by your comment too :)

Yeah it’s very bizarre because she definitely taps, but she didn’t appear to be in any danger or pain. Some of the comments make it seem like it’s a tactic fighters use when the refs can’t see in order to distract or confuse an opponent.

Think about the logic. Why would you ever fake tap (side note: I wouldnt due to bushido)? You would tap to make your opponent loosen a hold. Andrade doesnt need Rose to let go.

I’m a big Rose fan, so I’m biased, but a tap is a tap.

I don't know why Meghan Anderson gets so much respect from Vegas. It has to be all based on her length as a female. In 3 UFC fights, she's shown to be slow on her feet, have zero ground skills, and a limited gas tank.

I don't watch much MMA, but this is certainly one way to quickly end a fight.
