How is Masvidal’s wind? Is Diaz just playing possum to get him into deeper waters?

Sucks for Masvidal, he deserves a clean win. Guess it’s good for business though, they’ll run it back.

And they still haven’t done the ringwalks for Canelo yet. Sucks for those guys and kinda embarrassing for boxing.

I was thinking that. One of the biggest fighters in the sport, Canelo, is being delayed for the BMF championship. That’s rough for boxing.

Yeah I’m glad they did it, and Dana was smart to load this undercard, while the Canelo undercard was doodoo, so they must’ve seen the writing on the wall that nobody was going to be flipping back and forth or paying for DAZN until after the BMF fight was over.

Yeah from a viewer perspective. But if the previous fight went the distance, the impact on the fighters is pretty much the same,, right?
Yeah, but usually you can kind of pace based on how the prior fights are going, or you can watch the fights. I guess the locker rooms could’ve ordered the UFC.

Since when does boxing bow to UFC anyways? Is this a first?
I’d think so, but Dana has been lining ufc events against major boxing fights for years.

As much as that sucks I don't have to see it again immediately. Jorges peaking RN and I'd rather see him available for Usman/Colby. I knew Jorge would win but that was a beating. Nates not going to win the rematch and that cuts not gonna be healed quick.

He can’t fight Colby, that’s too soap opera-ish.

It’s Diaz. He deserved the last two rounds to show what he could do. Though I agree the first 2.75 weren’t close.

Yeah I want the Dr dead

Id love to find out if Jorge can make 55 again too. A championship fight then Diaz 2. I could see him startching any one of Usman, Colby, Khabib, Tony.

Is he good on the ground? I’ve only seen his last couple fights.

Anyone watch the Zabit Kattar fight? For some reason the main event was only three rounds. If it was five I think Calvin (who is from Methuen) had a chance. Zabit didn’t look that impressive but is probably next in line for a title shot.

Yeah, Zabit has always faded towards the end of fights. He needs to work on that, especially if he plans on getting title shots at 5 rounds. But he has amazing tools.

Is it because he throws a lot, or is the fading cuz Zabit runs and loses his wind?

Was there an explanation as to why the main event was only three rounds?
I forget which site, but I read that the bout was moved from (I think) the Boston event, but wasn't a main event when contracted and Zabit wouldn't agree to 5 rounds now that it was a main event. If true, that is some weak shit.

Gotta give the guy credit for knowing his limitations!

It's a shame he didn't come over to the UFC sooner. I don't know how good he would have been, but it could have been interesting. Also, with a (much) longer run, he seems the type that could have transitioned pretty well to a UFC booth after.

I hope he made some money in his career at least. Never was a fan, but always hate seeing news like this.
