When Gastellum weighed in, it looks like he had his elbow resting on one of his coaches. He had stripped down already and was under by like a pound too, I think.
Ah ok. Thanks. I kept watching his hands on the towel because I remember one dude looked like he had displaced some weight onto a towel once to make weight and missed the elbow.

Is Gastellum always so chubby? I feel like he used to be more ripped.

I thought the weigh in fans saw was unofficial

Thanks. Just checked this out. Definitely shady. Why do his arms just happen to be raised like that? Why does his coach just happen to be in there? Why did they just happen to use a flat towel instead of the hoop?

People online are saying he's not leaning, but anyone who's ever been on a scale knows it doesn't take much to shave off a pound or so. Either way, I would think that the rules ought to be clear about all interference being strictly forbidden, but I don't know.

Why isn't an authority at the weigh in held responsible for "decontaminating" the environment before official reading? It seems like these controversies happen quite often, when a few simple measures should make them practically non-existent.

Man I wish I had a house to mortgage to bet against AA there.

Rozenstruik looks promising, but somebody needs to get him to not crook his head back to dodge punches.

He has missed weight a couple of times that I can remember and (to me) has always looked a little chubby compared to other fighters.

I saw it reported online yesterday. Can't remember if it was mmajunkie or bloody elbow. Since he was stripped down, I don't think it was the fan weigh in. Anyway, I didn't see it live, either way.

Edit: I'm recording the prelims but will miss the main card. Looking forward to the results though. Rooting for Luque and Gillespie. I like those guys. I'll look at the play-by-play on mmajunkie later, but if anyone watching sees something cool, I'll be happy to read about it here.

Really fun card tonight boys. In a WWE-like move, the winner of Masvidal / Diaz will get a "Baddest Mother Fucker" (BMF) belt.

Oh, and Trump will be in attendance.
I thought I saw Diaz wanted the Rock there to give him the belt. I heard Masvidal is a Trump fan so maybe he wants Trump to give him the belt. If the president is in the octagon tonight then the transformation to the WWE is complete.

He's a fatty. Fights at least a weight class above where he should be

That Burgos fight was painful to watch. Pinning someone's arms down while pounding on their gut is just brutal.

Yeah I’ve never seen that before. I never get uncomfortable watching fights, but that got me.

Masvidal is the one who got the Rock involved. He tweeted out something about how he wanted the Rock to put the belt around his waist once he won.

I confuse Trump and the Rock sometimes too.

Ivanov is so in love with his key lock that he is risking losing. He should have focused on pounding him out the 2 times he had side control.

You think he has the power to ko Lewis? He’s caught him flush and nada.

Yes. At the same time, I'm impressed with Lewis' improvement on the ground (or escaping rather). In the past, once down, he'd just lay there and take it until the bell.

Although that may have been a result of poor conditioning / pacing as well.

he could have trapped the near arm with his legs and the far arm with his head and used his right hand to hit Lewis for 3 minutes

At the very least, he should have been throwing some elbows when he had side control and his arm on top of his head.

Wonder boy fights in my least favorite style but this mofo is bringing it tonight. Luque balling out too.

Luque has much more success when he comes forward striking. Giving Wonderboy time to switch and angle is deadly.

He couldn’t keep the pace. He started great
I think it was more that when he thought he had the answers, Thompson changed the questions.

Luque started thinking more, and once he stopped punching coming in, Thompson had more time to press his will.

Fight sucked, rd 2 was close. Gastelum fought lackadaisical(not the same as guy that fought Adensanya) and Till was strong at the weight.

I could give it a draw Till, Even, Gastelum

or T, T, G

30-27 each way? What a joke

edit: do you guys have a hookup to make me a judge

edit2: is that 30–27 Gastelum a mistake on the read?
