I'm with Lomb here. Plus, it's albatross or double eagle.

Turkey Vulture is like a left handed smoke shifter. It doesn't exist.
Nor does a double eagle exist.

"It's an albatross," Padraig Harrington said, incredulous that anyone would dare call it anything else. "There's no such thing in life as a double eagle. Is there? Two eagles side by side are two eagles, not a double eagle. You don't refer to animals ... 'Oh, I just saw a double elephant over there.' There's no doubting what it is. It's an albatross."

Intereresting segment with Chamblee, Duval, and Nobilo on the 17th green all in agreement that Tiger had relief that would have permitted him to drop up by the green for his third shot. That likely would have saved him 3 shots.

I’ve played and watched golf for about 35 years and never heard ‘turkey vulture’ or ‘double eagle’. Maybe I’m ignorant on it. It’s an albatross. If you hole out a par five off the tee, sure, you can have double eagle.

Double Eagle is widely used in the United States, and has been at least since 1935, when Grantland Rice wrote of Gene Sarazen’s “Shot heard round the world” on the 15th at Augusta on Sunday:

"And then as he swung, the double miracle happened. The ball left the face of his spoon like a rifle shot. It never wavered from a direct line to the pin. As it struck the green, a loud shout went up. Then suddenly (it) turned into a deafening, reverberating roar as the ball spun along its way and finally disappeared into the cup for a double eagle 2 — a 2 on a 485-yard hole when even an eagle 3 wouldn't have helped."

Saw Brandel’s posts on twitter and he confirmed it with a rules official too. Big miss by Tiger although I can understand why.

Azinger is unbearable to listen to. He’s got Tony Romo disease; he’d always rather say something stupid than leave 5 seconds of dead air.

Well there’s a bogey on 1 for Rahm. I like him, but the entertainment potential with him is high if things go sideways and he starts losing his mind.

The nonchalant reaction of the announcers to the spectator after taking Rahm’s wedge in the chest was amusing.

BTW, I’m in complete agreement with the observation by Needler. Azinger is awful.

I don't mind Azinger but he does talk too much. He'll learn.
Having said that, I miss Johnny.

The lack of commercials from NBC today has been refreshing. Nice to see them show actual golf.
