Time to get this rolling. Please let me know if there are any objections to the below. Last year, the draft started on 12/13, so I'm gonna shoot for the same this year. It should go quicker since we have less people drafting. Happy to adjust it by a few days either way if it's easier for people.

If we're good with all this, I'll post the list of payments owed to get things rolling.

League rules

Stroke Play Scoring:
  • Winner - 15
  • Playoff Loser - 12
  • 2nd (plus ties) - 10
  • 3rd-5th (plus ties) - 7
  • 6th-10th (plus ties) - 5
  • 11th-25th (plus ties) - 3
  • 25th-cut line (including MDF) - 1

Match Play Scoring:
  • Winner - 15
  • Runner Up - 10
  • Semifinal Losers - 7
  • Quarterfinal Losers - 5
  • Round of 16 Losers - 3
  • Not making bracket play - 1

Payouts: ($2850)
  • 27 regular tournaments (starting with the Sony Open) - $1350
    • NOTE - the Zurich Open is NOT included in this list
  • 5 Majors (including The Players) - $500
  • End of Season payouts - $1000
    • 1st place - $400
    • 2nd place - $250
    • 3rd place - $150
    • 4th place - $100
    • 5th place - $50
    • Last place - $50

*Note - I've changed a bunch here. Dropped the B tournaments, dropped 1st place by $50 upped the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place payouts by $50, added a 5th place, and dropped the fedex winner payout. Since the winner of the tour championship is also the fedex winner, it was just double paying that one.

If we want to restore the B tournaments we can, I can drop the 5th place prize and cut off $50 somewhere.

Add/Drop:

We will have 2 Add/Drop periods this year. The first will take place after the RBC Heritage event and go into effect for the Wells Fargo, the 2nd will take place after the Traveler's and go into effect for the 3M Open. Only players not on anyone's roster at the start of the add/drop period are eligible to be picked up. Players dropped in the first Add/Drop period are eligible to be picked up in the 2nd one. Separate threads will be started for each.

*Note - I changed this around so that the first drop period coincides with the Zurich Open (which we're skipping anyways) and moved the 2nd one a couple weeks later to accommodate.

I am not sure about the double payout for FedEx. I won the payout for FedEx with Rose, but did not win the tour championship, unless I am not reading that right. I was not paid double.

They are changing the format this year so that the Tour Championship winner will win the FedEx Cup.
This is correct. It's a change for this year, which is why I changed our payouts as well.

I am fine with it. Personally don't really like the 4th and 5th place payouts, but not going to raise any objection over where 5% of the money goes. Just hoping to do better than I did last year.

Rewarding the b tourneys is like rewarding a guy for hitting a homerun triple A. I don’t think they should count at all.

I'm fine with keeping the B tournaments as well. I can go with majority rule on this one. I've added a poll to the top of the thread, please vote.

Bump to vote and to propose any other changes.

Personally I’m against the Zurich open. It’s too random, too different, and the break is good for the first add/drop.

I voted no. Selfishly, I don't want to do 2 leaderboards/standings during those weeks. If we don't like random then consider that some of those had like 30 drafted golfers total.

Don't really care about the "B" tournaments one way or another (I voted yes, but can be persuaded if people really feel strongly.) But where do I vote to get rid of the Zurich Classic?

The Zurich Classic is currently out (and was last year). Only argument was to put it in, which I personally am not in favor of.

We are at a stalemate with the B tournaments at the moment.

Ok - making an executive decision to leave everything as is in the OP (including the B tournaments being out).

So now comes the fun part - paying up. I'd like to start the draft around 12/13 as mentioned, which is in 2 weeks. 12 people owe money for next year. If we can get everyone paid up and confirmed to be ready for the draft to start, we should be in good shape. Please reply here that you're in for next year if you haven't already posted in this thread. My paypal is still the same as last year, please use that for payment. Payment amounts are located in column AX here.

Now we get to start thinking about the first round!

Say what you will about Webb Simpson, but he singlehandedly allowed me to roll over the 150 and not have to deal with paying.

I'll PM you.

For those sending me money - can you put in your handle? I should know everyone by now but some I still get crossed up.

I’m in for next year. I can’t open spreadsheet on mobile for some reason, so could you let me know what I owe? Thanks!

TFP - sent you the balance. (Or, I should say that I think I sent it to you and not someone from one of my other fantasy leagues.)

Looking forward to the draft.

Yes, in!

Will not be on vacation during the draft this year so I promise to pick faster. Will send remainder of balance by the weekend.

Still waiting on payments from @FL4WL3SS @JKelley34 @Deathofthebambino and @Zomp but I think they're good for it. Season starts on Jan 10, so we have 4 weeks from Thursday to complete the draft. I'll get with Zomp this week to determine draft order as we always do it (random draw).

Everyone good with starting the draft on Thursday morning, 12/13? I'll be generous with first round to ensure everyone knows the draft is starting.

TFP, I'm definitely in. Can you PM me how much I owe, and where to send a check (I think in the past year's, Zomp might have covered me and then I sent him a check, but I can't remember these things very well), and who to make it out to? Sorry, I'm still not really in Paypal land, and I can't figure out how to find out what I owe?

I'm good with starting the draft this week. My only issue is that I'm having a minor surgical procedure next week, but that should not keep me from participating in the draft for more than a few hours. (A man has to have his priorities in order.)
