Can I get your thoughts on my last two picks? I think both have a chance at high upside, but probably won't be steady points contributors.
yea i mean at this stage in the draft, that can be said for most of the remaining picks. you are just looking for a few of top-25s and hopefully a top-10 or two. Neither of those guys were on my board, but Schenk has good upside and had a decent fall. Luck i would've stayed away from, he does have his card but cant be too sure how much he plays. He did play 5 this fall but only made 1 cut. If i was going European at this stage i wouldve went with someone more established that could play in a major or two, but i never draft Euros cuz i want my guys to play.

In summary, 7th and 8th round picks are a crapshoot, thats why i took another shot with a rookie over some PGA lifer that

That matches my thoughts. Luck was the guy I wasn’t sure of, but put him on one of my boards as a complete flier.
To be honest, some of the other guys I preferred in his place all got picked in the round leading up to my final pick and I got sick of looking down my list.

Haha this round is all my terrible 3rd round picks of Christmas past. Willett and Bryan were so so bad for me.

I still believe my Stephen Bowditch pick in the 2nd round, relative to final results, may have been the worst pick of all time. Guy couldn't even make the cut after that, and wasn't even close in most cases. Seeing him shoot 80+ on Thursday and Friday was the norm. I think I took Carl Petterson in the 1st round the year before that. Good God...Talk about ending your season before it starts. Anyway, I'll have my pick up momentarily, after I figure out who is left.

Well no, it would be the two years I took Tiger--once with the first overall pick and once with the 3rd or 4th--and he didn't play.

Yeah, that's probably true. Although I love Tiger, so I would have given up Bowditch and whatever points he scored when wasn't puking on himself to have just had Tiger on my team, even if he wasn't playing.

I just went back and looked and Bowditch won his tournament in 2015, and then went on a nice run to finish that year. Then in 2016, he made 4 cuts in the first 5 events, including a top 10 (of course, this was before our season started). That's the only excuse I have for drafting him when I did in 2016. From that point onward, he missed 15 out of 22 cuts, and his best finish was 22nd in the Dean and Deluca. His other finishes were 87th (I don't think there was actually a cut, because the Sony was only 3 days), 41, 82, 65, 70 and 58.

And it got worse from there. In 2017, he played in 27 tournaments and missed 25 cuts. He finished 58th and 64th in the two events he made the cut. The dude had a PGA card all year, and made only $21,000 in earnings. That's like really hard to do.

In 2018, he played in 8 tournaments and missed every cut.

That dude basically finally got over the hump, got a win and a big paycheck and was like "fuck it, I'm done."

Edit: I actually forgot, but he did win the Valero Texas Open in 2014, before winning the Byron Nelson in 2015. So he actually had 2 wins on Tour.

Well, I guess I will close this. I guess I could go for someone who could get me 15 points across 20 events. But as I bet big going for someone who plays his best in the majors to start. I'm going to try and gamble on someone who is going to be in the majors. Maybe with the WC events he might get up to 10 or so events.
