This guy fucking rocks. Insane motor, nice complement of moves, and student of the game. Will definitely thrive in NE under BB. Fell because of perceived physical shortcomings but he was a 3* out of hs that was all big 10 (I think).
Winovich was the most fun player to watch at the Big House last year. Full of personality... and talent.
Depth? PFF had a first round grade on him with a 92.3 pass rush grade - only Nick Bosa, Myles Garrett, and Joey Bosa graded out better. His combine measurables were elite.

I think they killed day 2. To be honest I liked Wino more than Rashan Gary. Wino is all the scrappy, hard-working, and football IQ traits put in a highly athletic body. He’s a little undersized but he overcomes that with his hand usage. He is a good pass rusher. Getting him a round later than he was expected to go is a win.

Funny you should mention him. I have him in my predict the Pats draft. Thor Nystrom, I cant make this shit up, is high on him.
I think that guy is one of the Black Aces up with the Bruins right now. Had a great career playing for Modo in Sweden.

Early comps have him being very Ninkyish, but I actually think he’s more like Vrabel in terms of his position versatility, football IQ and personality. I think he’s going to add a lot to the locker room in addition to his production on the field.
One of my favorite players ever at Michigan. Winovich played a big part in suppressing Gary's sack and TFL numbers because he was simply faster to the ball. He continued to produce at a high level in 2018 without elite play from UM's interior DT's.
I thought it was originally just a comment on name similarities. Then, an actual comparison between the two started.

Mark Schofield @mascho with another excellent Locked on Patriots podcast on Thursday, where he argued that Chase Winovich could be a full down player in the NFL. Said he had excellent hands, and excellent pass rush plan and mental approach (swim to the inside and dip and rip to the outside) insane motor ("he wants to kill you"), and very good skills against the run. Sets the edge extremely well, and turns things back to help.
Saw his podcasts praised in another thread (N'Keal's) as well. And the Joejuan WIlliams podcast was also very good.
Based on various sources including the LOP podcasts, seems like the Patriots maximised their take from this year's draft, at least from the first several rounds.

They don't. Did you read the link you posted? He's paying off the school system's debt for subsidizing meals for kids. The schools "owed" the debt, not the kids. This isn't little Timmy owing his elementary school $14. It's not "sad" this exists, it's a good thing. Now the school system doesn't have to pay that money. The "lunch debt" is what is allowing needy kids to eat.
But then the school has to cut athletic, music, etc programs to balance their budget. Food/shelter is obviously a higher priority ...

Yes, but unless you can figure out a way to produce free food, then a system that allows the kids to eat is a system that is doing good work. I just wanted to make sure it was understood that if he hadn't paid, it wasn't like the school was coming after families directly for this. It's part of their budget.
