As a dolphins fan I don’t recall ever seeing him in a suit or without a hat on pulled way down. Usually in sweatshirt. He’d stand at podium with hat on and hands on podium leaning forward so you’d never see his face clearly

Maybe he cant deal with lights/bright
He does have a hat on in like 98.6% of pics.

Leave it to the Jets to cheap out and get an early-generation robot from Westworld.

It’s obvious that he hasn’t adjusted from the glare off of Peyton Manning. Makes sense that he was a reference for Gase.

Poor dude could never be a bank robber with those eyes; even in a ski mask he’d be picked out of a lineup.

Was that guy an offensive line coach, because the way he cut that blow offends me. Such waste.
Chris Foerster, OL coach and run game coordinator.

I think Gase might rip Ritalin or something. He’s always had those wide eyes and ticks in press conferences. I don’t think he’s particularly fond of speaking in front of the press, which means his stint in NY should go smoothly.

In all seriousness, I still think Gase has the tools to be a good football coach, but he had little interest in dealing with the player management of being a coach and had no interest in handling the defense, which was probably a large part of his undoing. Trusting Matt Burke to handle the D entirely was a mistake, and ultimately failed.

Now he’ll be able to hand the defense to Gregg Williams entirely and say do whatever you want and he can focus on the offense, which is likely what he wants, and how he had success with Vance Joseph in Miami.

Didn't Cooter famously not run while in Detroit? What a bizarre pick for RB coach

I really like the staff but there is already weird family drama. Gase’s father in law is on the staff and previously testified against Williams in bounty gate.

Williams son is on the staff, rumored to be a dickhead, and Gase was against the hire at first.

Well he also gave the corpse of LGBT 154 carries last year.

What strikes me about the staff is how big it is, compared to the Pats. I think BB has it right with only putting together a small staff. The more voices, the more difficult it is to relay a consistent message.

Adam Gase's new coaching staff with the New York Jets contains enough potential family drama for a reality TV show.

The full staff, announced Friday by the Jets, includes longtime NFL assistant Joe Vitt, Gase's father-in-law, and Blake Williams, the son of defensive coordinator Gregg Williams.

Vitt and Gregg Williams were members of the New Orleans Saints' coaching staff implicated in the 2012 BountyGate scandal. In the bounty hearings, conducted by former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue, Vitt accused Williams of lying in his testimony.

Gah. I want Gase to succeed because I think he can be a good coach, but he’s making the same mistakes he made in Miami already. I don’t think it’s because he isn’t smart, I just think his pride and ego won’t let him admit that he made mistakes in the first place.

The Williams thing honestly seems pretty bad. I understand Gase hiring his father in law, but knowing he testified against Williams and then not wanting to hire his son and ultimately caving because he was probably forced to is a bad look.

Gregg Williams is a dick. Surprised his kid is rumored to be a dick. I bet its 3 weeks (unless the football goods smile on us and the Jets get Hard knocks) before Williams and Gase are going after each other in the press.

For Jets fans sake, I hope those are not the real ones, because they are horrid!

Centuries from now, there will be a historian, perhaps Paul Lukas the XVI, who will write about all the fashion horrors a hopefully defunct entity known as Nike visited upon the world. I’m already fuming over the fact that they’re taking over as the official MLB uniform provider next year and plan on placing their damned logo on the FRONT of every baseball jersey.

I’m apathetic towards them. I was hoping for something good. These are mediocre.

There is some type of inappropriate joke here involving the 1970 Marshall football team's jet crashing and the Jets basically adopting their uniforms and colors. I just can't figure it out.

Those are some ugly behind jerseys.
There current ones look fine but there’s so much suck associated with them. Change from above average just to avoid the suck association is very Jetsy. Never stop Jetsing, guys.

These suck
You know, the one thing I always used to feel I had to hand the Jets was that their uniforms were nice. Great shade of green and strongly reminiscent of the classic Broadway Joe model while being adequately updated.

I don't need to hand them that anymore.

This.

When they hired Parcells as their coach, they shitcanned their putrid at the time uniforms and went old school back to the classic Broadway Joe model as you said, they ranked right up there with the Packers as far as uniforms, a great shade of green a nice helmet design.

As much as I hated them, I liked the uniform a lot.

These things are God awful.

Once upon a time there was another AFC East team that tried this. And it worked.

I for one never liked the retro Jets uniforms. It was the most New York thing ever to claim some ownership of a sports history based on dubious merit and then try to paint the whole organization with that brush in perpetuity.

Why change? This looks like the same style as the Cleveland Browns uniforms. I'm not a big fan of the pants and socks being the same color on uniforms. Missed opportunity highlighting the black alternates with gold for their Titans days.

If they wanted to go back to a green helmet they should have resurrected the early 80s Wesley Walker/NY Sack Exchange ones, which were fine UNTIL they started adding the black elements (face mask, trim around the numbers and stripes). Not only were they a cleaner look, the logo was also sleeker. But with Nike doing the redesign, I guess an all black alternative was inevitable.

All black is absolutely terrible. Doesn't match the green helmets at all.

The shoulder stripe is distracting as hell. The NEW YORK wordprint is too, like the Browns' one.

Big whiff on these. As others have noted, work in a Jet motif somewhere, like the 80s logo.
