Intentionally walking Muncy in the ninth inning of game 2, bringing the potential winning run to the plate, was an even bigger mistake, in my opinion.

That said, I’m thrilled to see them finally win a series. I was a season ticket holder from 2005 through last year and was at each of the three game 5 NLDS losses. Notwithstanding the horrific ways those series ended, this one just felt different, even when they were behind late.
True, I forgot that one. That was a head scratcher.

The MLB.com link line is "Could Dave Roberts be the next Grady Little?"

Which completely fries my brain.
Honestly if you are just talking about last night and the 2003 Pedro game, not their entire track record, Roberts was much worse. Grady made a single very poor decision, Roberts made a bunch of baffling pitching moves and non-moves in the final few innings, all of which blew up on him.

I agree completely. But the comparison blew my mind because in terms of Sox lore, it's a little like asking, "Is Jesus the new Satan?".

Ah, OK, now I get it. Today I learned that Roberts was also on that '99 Indians team that Pedro shut down heroically.
