Now that Trump has declared an end to Pax Americana.

Washington: Last in war, last in peace, first in the National League.

Question is whether Scherzer and/or Strasbourg will be rested or rusty.

AL champion will have to beat one of them at least once, maybe twice.

Rooting for the Astros now, besides the obvious reason, just think of the potential pitching matchups: Scherzer, Strasburg and Corbin vs. some combo of Cole, Verlander and Greinke.

Fun, fun, fun.

As half a Nats fan, this is fun. Lots of people baseball fans that live in the DC area that have divided loyalties but I think everyone is excited for the Nats to have a crack at the championship.

Never, ever, would I have thought that the Nationals would be going to the World Series this year. I would have expected the Dodgers to do what the Nationals just did.

Congrats to the Expos, their last pennant was 1933, 86 years ago. Only WS win was 1924, when Walter Johnson was still pitching.

Going to be a special moment when they trot out a fan who was alive to see that last WS win to throw out the first pitch prior to game three of the WS and he shatters his hip...………….

Wonder what the odds were on Kendrick as NLCS MVP to start the year. Hell, to start this series.

The Nationals used to be the Expos, so as far as I'm concerned, call them whatever you want, they'll always be the Expos.

Prior to the Nationals, there were seven other failed Washington teams, one of which won the WS in 1924.

Walter Johnson pitched on that team.

Connect the dots, it's not that hard.

Congrats to the Nats! Great series to watch & looking forward to the series, also hoping for (obviously) a Houston v Washington series, and I’ve been kinda been pulling for that one since the WC games were over.

all the regional networks here in DC have a bunch of out of control fans. Even with the Caps two summers ago, they are very much not used to winning.

Do you you call the Twins and the Rangers the Senators? Seems like your approach could get confusing....

Three, unless your counting teams in the friggin 1800s. And Walter Johnson pitched on the team that is now the Minnesota Twins.

Nats fans should definitely root for the Yankees from here, in case that's not obvious. I honestly think WAS would be favorites over NY with their whole rotation rested and lined up but at least they have to root for NY to push it to 7, right?

But your dots don't make any sense and aren't based in reality. They scare me.
