Referee will take the first thing the player says. Doesn't matter if they change their mind. That was an all-time blunder. Another point against Jason Garrett.
Jason Garrett wasn't out there butchering the English language and putting the outcome in doubt.

You can hang a lot of stuff on him but that isn't one of them.

So the coin toss is officially reviewable from NY now? Or is the NFL just making shit up on the fly?
I think they are making shit up as they go. Normal operations for them.

Not telling the Rams until after halftime is complete crap

How can you give the Cowboys the ball? You didn’t give the Rams the opportunity to make their choice. Even if Dak said “defer” they didn’t actually administer a defer.

Of course they almost certainly take the ball. Ok, certainly.

But it makes no difference. The Rams were not given the choice.

Also, I doubt the coin toss is reviewable. This league just makes it up as they go along.
They are also "guessing" what Dak wanted. He said defer but also said kick multiple times. Those are 2 different calls.

Freddie Kitchens turns down a 4th and 2 despite the fact that they can run on every play. Sends out the kicker, who proceeds to miss it.

Man live, get that guy out of Cleveland.

The officiating all around the league today seems good. Boger and his crew OTOH need some kind of corrective counseling. My God were they bad last week.
We must be watching different games. None as bad as the Patriots game last week but not good.

Rams are just about done. I swore I heard all during the SB and off-season about how they were going to be the next big thing... young... talented... etc..

Been said many times - but it goes to show just how lucky we are that in our season of discontent, Pats are still 11-3 with a good shot at a bye. Woe is us.

Trent Green wants it both ways. He wants the play to be let go if in doubt, then he wants the fumbling team to prove it was a catch before the fumble is overturned. He’s dead wrong. The referees should rule exactly how they see it.

Niners don't look like they want to win this game.

Breida has to lose his job and maybe his roster spot at this point.

Meanwhile, the backup RB on Minnesota is just cleaning up. It sucks to go out like this.
Yup, Mike fucking Boone is cleaning up Dalvin Cook's points. I should just go watch billiards or something. This is torture now.
You guys mean that the backup to the backup to the backup is cleaning up this week. Boone is fourth on the depth chart. It’s a team that can really run the ball when it decides to.

Oakland leaving Oakland in style. Giving up 17 unanswered second half points to lose 20-16.

Thanks for the 1 point Gallup, thanks for the 8 points Cook. Thanks for the 5 points Woods. Thanks for the 0 points in the 2nd half Dak.

Just a tragic fantasy loss. From the moment Cook went out, not a single good thing happened. We're onto 2020.

I know you wanted to play till you’re 55, but are you considering retirement? You might just not have it anymore, no matter how many walking lunges you do.

Not considering it, but it'll be hard to wake up tomorrow. Body is bruised, my psyche is worse.
