Given the stakes the no call on the DPI may be the worst in league history.

Might sound like hype but I’m trying to think of a worse one.

Brees bad in the second half and playcalling bad after two minute warning, but still.....they got robbed.

Again, the DPI will be the story but Brees played terribly. That should not be lost in the recaps of this game. That INT was horrific.

Even though I don't believe it, pulling the pin on a 'tuck rule' grenade and walking away would be funny

Well his arm was hit as he threw. Looks terrible but it's not like he threw a duck up there. His arm got hit. That can happen to anyone.

None of it matters if the most obvious DPI call in history (outside of the Kuechly mugging Gronk play) gets called correctly.

It’s not hype. This non call is significantly worse than the Ben Dreith call.

the Saints had several chances to bury the Rams and did not, and then lost.

the call was one of the worst, but there's many other reasons they lost.

Yeah, that miss was the worst in a game with a ton of missed calls (i.e.,the facemask the drive before.
That missed facemask on Goff was huge, but is going unmentioned right now. That would have given the Rams 1st down on the 1, but instead they had to settle for a FG.

I know the Saints got robbed on that no call, but they also made a ton of terrible mistakes leading up to that moment. They choked in the red zone early in the game. And they left themselves in a position to be screwed by the refs. This was a choke job and a ref job.

And Payton deserves some of the blame. Ingram loses 6 yards, which was the game, while Kamara just sits back and watches. They stopped throwing to Kamara, despite the fact that it was chalking up zillions of yards early. Hill getting crucial looks with the balls, while Brees and Kamara watch. Mistakes were made.

So the Saints got screwed on that one call, but they robbed themselves too.

Yes, what you said. I mean, it was a horrible non call but the Goff facemask wasn't called and nobody is talking about that. The Saints choked, plain and simple, and left themselves vulnerable to be screwed.

Maybe the 2 biggest plays in this game outside the FG were very bad no-calls on PI. Obviously the one at the very end that would have sealed it was one of the worst no calls in the history of the sport (not only because it was PI, it was also a clear hit to the head or neck area of a defenseless receiver), but the same corner had an egregious PI on a 3rd and 7 that forced a FG a few series earlier.

Edit- and yes the Goff facemask was a bad call, but that at least was one where you can see how they missed it, the PI calls were 2 players in isolation with the ball coming in so 2 refs staring right at it.

By the way, the Rams were down double digits on the road and they won. I was under the impression that was impossible, or was that only with the Pats?

Well, what’re the odds it happens twice? Is it impossible x impossible or impossible squared?

Damn. Let it go man. It was my post that t4w was agreeing with where I said the only scenario I’d be surprised by is the Pats coming back if KC gets a big lead early. You sound like the type of fan that can’t allow a negative comment about the Pats. They’ve had a tough go on the road this year and if KC can make them one dimensional, the Pats would be in trouble. We all want them to win, it’s ok to say we see a scenario where we think it’d be tough.

Also SONY!!

I thought Thomas deserved the INT. He was turning around to ask I'm for a flag instead of staying in the game and breaking the INT up.

It's weird, too, because Robey-Coleman looks like he could easily have defended that ball, if not had a very good opportunity to intercept it.

Holy FUCK that Z can get that accurate that low on the ball. That doesn't happen, Jesus. Surreal. I haven't seen better considering the situation and pressure. Jake McQuiade fucking choked. Rushed, low snap, amazing to have any kind of recovery, let alone proper positioning. Good God. Hekker is an unsung immortal.

Pats last SB win was an NFC 2 seed. Why not again?
LA has the best P/K combo I can remember, especially with Hekker’s ability to throw. What a strength- can win game on that alone.

My daughter says there are street signs in New Orleans that say "we were robbed".

She is rightly pissed (she has adopted the Saints as a student in College) and well she should be.

ESPN is covering the missed DPI in the ‘aints game like someone died. Those guys still could have won.
