Chiefs have looked really unimpressive today. Both the Patriots and the Chargers will have a significant chance of toppling them in the AFCCG.
Yea, my thoughts too. This was more on the Colts being a dumpster fire than the Chiefs being terrific.

Luck looked like TJ Yates out there.

If the Patriots can protect TB12 just a bit, they could win in this stadium if they advance. Chiefs have played well but they haven't exactly stepped on Indy's throat considering how shitty they have looked.
Just take care of business tomorrow and go from there; this Chefs team doesn't scare me, plus don't forget the Reid factor, three strait NFCCG losses, two at home, plus we'll see if he is a riverboat gambler next week like he was this week.

Just get to next week.

They'll be handing out the t-shirts along the parade route next week, the banner will be unveiled once the parade ends inside the stadium, say what you want, but they do things the right way in Indy.
I figured as much. Irsay is the class of the league.

Refs were also atrocious. Welcome to KC
The refs had nothing to do with Andrew Luck doing whatever that was today. If he wasn't underthrowing his balls he was throwing them directly into defensive linemen.

Luck has like a 75 passer rating over 8 games in the playoffs. Guy is kind of a mess.

Chiefs defense looks like it has improved a bit.

If the Patriots get there they will have a rough go. Chiefs looked a bit meh today at times but they probably have a little rust and the Patriots road defense is going to have trouble getting off the field. Watkins really gives them a fourt/fifth option and their run blocking looks absolutely fantastic.

Anything can happen but I have trouble understanding how anyone watching this game can be feeling optimistic unless the idea is that some how our defense especially on the road somehow has been fixed.

if the officiating was more fair in the second half, the Colts would have been within a possession.

they can be had, it will be very difficult and we're likely to lay too much of an egg on the road, but they aren't invincible.

I thought Mahomes looked meh and that the Colts had the ball for 20 minutes, crapped all over themselves, and still left 4 points on the table with Vinatieri and had the ball at the Chiefs 20 yards line before promptly fumbling. If this were October, KC wins this game 52-13. The fact that they struggled to put an inferior sleepwalking opponent away gives me a lot of hope.

With the Ravens and Colts gone I think I could root for any of the remaining AFC teams in the SB.

Of course if the Pats don’t make it there’s no way I can root for the team that beats them.

So for those scoring at home, in game I had taken Colts +16.5, +13.5 (x2), +10.5. So they score to take it to 11, then AV misses the XP. Infuriating. Then Chiefs get a horseshit call on the running into the punter penalty and take it to 18... then Colts have the wide open TD catch and drop it. Then Luck just doesn't snap the ball.

Horrible.

There's no way I'm rooting for KC. Can you imagine the Mahomes hype going into next season? It'd be unbearable. Every other option is preferrable. I'd even rather listen to two months of "is Drew Brees the GOAT?" takes.

Field conditions for a team built on speed could be an issue next week. These 2 tore up a kind of wet field today and if the forecast for next Sunday verifies the field will be hard as a rock with not a lot of traction to be had

I doubt anyone feels confident about a potential matchup in KC.

Honestly, I wouldn’t feel confident even with home field. It’s hard for a defense with NFL talent, and some actual good players, to be THAT bad an entire season.

And their offense is next level. Your only shot against that group is to get some turnovers.

I am not sure what was going on with the Chief’s offense in the second half and I hope if we play them you are right. Somehow my instinct is that if the game had ever really gotten in doubt Kelce would have reappeared. Or Hill.

I hope we get a chance to find out.

I think the NFL really wants Mahommes vs. Brees, going to have to beat KC and the refs, much like you had to do in the Peyton DEN years. Very, very tough to do.

They definitely packed it in a bit in terms of playcalling. They ended up with 33 runs to 27 passes, with 25 carries by Williams.

That’s not happening if they’re in a close game.

Yeah I cannot imagine any road team in the superdome getting close calls either.

Cowboys defense looks like shit so far. Undisciplined and getting blown off the ball. Gotta clean that up or this game won't be close for long.
