There have been a few big turnarounds in the second half of a few NFL playoff games over the years. But you get the feeling this won't be one of them.

Serves them right. Conservative playcalling
never works in the postseason. Gotta go for six. Three is immaterial even if they had made it.

Adam got way under it. And that fucking hurts like kicking a rock given the cold.

I mean, pretty much by definition *big* turnarounds and *huge* comebacks kinda come out of nowhere.

I think KC can pretty much effectively end it with a TD coming out of the half though.

I feel like the Colts can score 24 points in the second half if they start throwing the ball. Problem is I can't envision them giving up less than 14.

Charles Woodson just tweeted this: "Now he misses in the snow"
lol.

and I agree they maybe should have just gone for the TD again. 24-14 would have been much better than 24-10, is 24-7 that much worse? I say this and the 3 will matter in an hour and a half

True.

But I couldn't imagine the Chiefs playing good defense.

Reminds me of that game winning kick in 1998 that he missed against KC
I continue to say that was the biggest kick in Pats history. If he makes it and all other game results that season are the same, the Pats make the playoffs and Carroll isn’t fired and BB isn’t hired.

EDIT: my mistake, he also missed a game winner vs buffalo that yr. If he makes both they make the playoffs at 10-6.

Call me biased, but I'm expecting a far better effort out of Indy in the 2nd half. We know they've been a resilient team this year. They'll need to realistically limit KC to 10 points to have a shot. Do-able, but they're going to need to be FAR better on 3rd down.

I love me some NFL safety propaganda.

The music is a good touch, as are the reassuring voices of the coaches presumably under contractual obligation to aid in team/league marketing efforts.

That's why the Colts FG to make it 21-6 right before the half was so huge in the 2006 AFC Championship Game.
Yep that Addai run was an absolute killer. At the time I recall saying to myself, shit we have a game now.

Is that the shortest miss FG in Adam's career? I would think it must be.
He's missed 6 FGs in his career under 29 yards. I found a 25 yarder that he missed in his second ever NE game. He was 1-4 that game, good thing they held onto him.

Pats made the playoffs in 98.

You are thinking of 99. Chiefs game was in 98. If the Pats could beat Koy Detmer in December, maybe Pete The Poodle doesn't get shitcanned.
