We should keep in mind that they may already know Gronk is coming back for the 2nd half of the season, in which case ASJ for half the year isn't bad. Also, still likely the possibility of trading for Rudolph, which would be a total Patriots move IMO.
And also that the draft isn't over.

based on my 45 seconds of research Knox looks very appealing. I'm basically copying off of Super Nomario's playbook, so checked his rankings after and saw he was a fan so now I'm completely sold.

Is Adalius Thomas going to announce the Pats' pick too? If he doesn't get stuck in traffic on the way to the podium, that is.

The "best available" TE's listed on ESPN all have major flaws, so I'd just as soon they cobble together something from what they've got and the UDFA group.

yeah there really were only a handful of TE i really felt could come in and be better than what we have, and they are gone

Wasn't the story that Gary was unproductive because he was double teamed all the time?
Yes, but I’m not convinced that was the full story. When Gary was hurt (which happened a fair bit), Winovich remained very productive

What about a return of Benjamin Watson? That seems like it could be on the table.

Pats back on the board at 97. Did they always have that pick? Impossible to keep track.

Harris physically is really similar to Michel, same size and speed. He's a special teamer and supposedly very good in pass pro

MYRTLE BEACH!!!!
Needed a big. Burkhart is only good for half a year anyway, don’t want Sony taking on goal line collisions if we can avoid it.

They weren't too happy with Michel in short yardage late in those playoffs as I recall. Weren't they running Burkhead? And he wasn't exactly great in that situation.

With all the RB injuries last season, taking a big back here makes sense to me. Who knows if someone goes down in training camp or preseason.

Moving the Line
Watched Harris all his career at the Capstone. Better hands in the pass game than what the film would have you believe, incredibly natural leader, team first player with high character, runs downhill. Really has great moves at the point of contact that allow him to fight for more moves. Can't count how many times his shimmies would succeed on Dancing with the Stars.

Slipped a bit if only because Josh Jacobs and Najee Harris (no relation) got more snaps in the interest in having a passing option (Bama runs a lot of 12) and more knowledge about the running game going into this season. He's a guy who likely goes higher if he declares last year but it warrants mention he chose not to strictly because he wanted to be a mentor to others as he had been taught.
