Ian Polter pairing will be the death of Tigers chances. His constant bitching and complaining just take all the excitement out of the game. Hope tiger can zone him out as he hopefully drops out of all contention. Plus as a fan, I can’t stand watching him and I love watching tiger. Just ruins it
Come on. The focus will be on Tiger. This is a really extreme take, one that doesn't have a lot of basis in reality. Poulter is going to end Tiger's chances?

I completely disagree. Tiger will feed off of Poulters competitiveness and fire. This is a perfect Saturday pairing for him.

Maybe I am wrong, I just hate watching Poulter which adds to dislike for the pairing. Maybe this will play out like the Players and 2018 USOpen in that Poulter will blow up and his pairing partner will go on to win. Let’s hope so

The TV coverage starts at 3pm. That's really difficult to take. That's the same time as the first two rounds. They will literally not show a single opening tee shot for any player, except for the first of the featured groups.

Man. That's brutal.

Pretty sure that’s an Augusta thing. I’m sure CBS would love to show it all day.

I know. But, for some reason, I thought they extended TV coverage on Saturday and Sunday. It's just Sunday. 12 hours of TV coverage for the first three rounds of the Masters is beyond weak. I think the US Open does 32 hours.

On the bright side it has gotten better. I watched the final round of the 86 Masters and you the leaders were on 5 when it started and Jack was on the 9th.

On the bright side the lack of coverage allows for a more productive morning. I’ve gotten shit done today, will sit down around 2, crack the days first beer and watch the featured groups until the CBS coverage begins.

Yeah, I would guess that Tiger likes Poulter. I actually think this is a good pairing for both of them.
I would think he would like Poulter. How can you not? He is the opposite of the modern dull golfer. There are few if any guys on the tour, I'd rather hit a pub with.

So what are people thinking for the lead today, and Champion.

I figure lead today is at least -12, could be -14
Then at least -16 to have a chance to win

Agreed. I’ve never understood the Poulter hate. He seems like a fun guy to grab a beer with.

There are a lot of eagles out there today. Webb just had one, so did Finau. Rory and Leishman eagled the same hole on the back nice.

It is absolutely an ANGC thing. And we bitch about it every year.
So we know it's an Augusta thing, but why would they do it? It's not like they sell early day viewing at PPV process through their own app or anything like that. It seems like there's no upside.

Put it in the drink Webb
I'd like to see how Hatton did that, seems like running it 30+ feet past the hole is a real likelyhood, but not sure how he put it in the water from there

They are a bunch of rich assholes who do what they want. It wasn’t all that long ago that they didn’t even show the “first” nine on TV.

Tiger gets the bogey back at 6.
