Love the analysis. Tiger is way back in the trees on 17. The most obviousl bailout spot is short left. The easiest place to go as it is straight in front of him is short left.
And the announcers are blabbering on about there being no bail out spots for the shot. ANd of course Tiger hits it short left leaving him what should be a fairly easy up and down (to the degree any of them are)

Tiger had I think 3 poor drives, a couple missed short putts, but honestly it was one of the best opening rounds in a major for him in a long time. He really looked pretty sharp, and to be one stroke off the lead is a great place to be.
Any thoughts on how the very very late afternoon tee time will effect him tomorrow? Greens will be harder and slower presumably.

It will give him more rest which should be in his favor. Slower greens may be better for him as well.
He’s only broken 70 in the first round once. He was driving it well and hitting his irons to pin high. Putts will go in.
Anyways, I think I’m convinced Spieth is a true basket case now.

Not sure why the announcers keep complaining about nobody going super low.

I can only imagine what the membership thinks of Poulter! Then again, maybe his trou fit in perfectly.

I don't understand how Brooks Koepka is winning. Brandel Chamblee told me his career was over because he lost some weight.
Kinda. There is a big slope to the players right of the pin. Hit it there and it’ll funnel in toward the green. But if they miss it it’s a tough 2-putt.
There is zero chance he lost 30lbs, by the way. 10lbs maybe, but he pretty much looks the same.
Reauchambeau has played pretty fantastically today. Just staring down DJ's rockets and playing a little bit better.
It's exhausting. And it's incredible they aren't showing any shots from the groups behind them. Literally, none.
And as much as I enjoy his misery, I can do without watch Spieth visit every random corner of the course
