Nick Foles will have left the building so it's all on Wentz now. His 2018 season ended prematurely with back issues. Will he revert to his 2017 MVP level? I suspect that his lost offseason between 2017 and 2018 had a bigger impact than most account for, and so I think he will. But there are a fair amount of questions to be answered first:

Eagles offensive line - will Jason Peters be back? He's carrying a $10.5M cap number, which puts him around 10th for OT's. The Eagles don't have a replacement on the roster though, so I think he is. Will Jason Kelce return or retire? Odds say he's back, but it's not a definite. Regardless of those two they'll need to add some talent to this unit.

Offensive skill postions - what will the Eagles add at WR? Alshon Jeffery is there and so is Agholor, but they'll need to add a veteren WR. How about RB? Lots of clamoring for an impact RB. LeVon Bell would look great in green and will be an unrestricted FA.

Defensively they need to decide on whether or not they can afford to bring Brandon Graham back, as well as Chris Long. They're going to cut or restructure Jernigan too. It's supposed to be a very strong draft at DL and I'd be surprised if they don't spend their 1st or one of their two 2nd's here. MLB Jordan Hicks is a free agent, and while he flashes on the field he spends a lot of time off of it. He wants to come back and the Eagles seem to want him back, but the market will be tested first. I don't know what to think about the Eagles secondary. At CB they have a lot of young players that they like for good reason, but there's not really a shutdown type CB there.

All in all it's going to be a very interesting offseason for the Eagles. Anything they do will have to be considered with the idea that they're going to need to drop a huge extension on Wentz soon.

I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.

I feel like there were two shady blocks on that one.. it seemed like both dbs were blocked before or simultaneously with him catching the ball. Did philly not have a challenge or whatever to review this?

They could have called illegal man downfield as the G (or C) was three yards downfield before the ball was caught. They should have called illegal block in the back on Sanu.

I don’t believe either of those are challengable.

Then there’s this concept of Wentz “giving himself up” as he dives for the end zone on a two point try.

Philly didn’t do enough to win, but the zebras certainly didn’t help matters.

The giving himself up was/is in the rule book I believe to protect qbs. Doesn’t make any sense in that situation but it wasn’t an anti-Philly thing.

I agree that it's in the rule book so I guess good job by the refs working the game? The next time I see a QB sneak from the one yard line I'm going to wonder why that doesn't qualify though. Also wondering why there's no penalty on the defender for laying Wentz out there. If the ruling is the QB was giving himself up, then there should be a penalty on a defender for nailing him when he's on the ground.

The NFL ladies and gentleman!

I think the key is going to ground in open space while running.. but yeah.. it’s a dumb rule in a sea of dumb rules.

And I don’t know about the hit.. usually qbs get hit/touched even when giving themselves up and it’s not usually called unless it’s helmet to helmet. I’d never heard that one could give themselves up going head first diving..

Ummm ... they might not be having much fun this year

Recently released cornerback Orlando Scandrick ripped his former team, the Eagles, during a television appearance Friday, taking shots at everyone from respected safety Malcolm Jenkins to general manager Howie Roseman.
"Let's just say, where there's smoke, there's fire," Scandrick said on FS1 when asked about the rumblings of locker room turmoil. "That locker room is different. I'd tell guys when I came there that I felt like they were still living off that Super Bowl high. It's over. They're living in the past."
Scandrick was released by the Eagles on Monday following a blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He said the move "felt kind of scapegoat-ish."
"The problem in Philadelphia is much, much bigger than me," he said.
