LOL I love the hate even though I want the guy.The only reason I'm still up is to see if Bol Bol is selected in the 2nd round. If he goes undrafted I will die in peace. I'm guessing somebody has to take him though at some point.
That open workout he had for teams last week is making more sense now. They must have seen this possibility coming.Bol Bol on suicide watch.
Was he playing against a chair or something? That open workout he had for teams last week is making more sense now. They must have seen this possibility coming.
I mean, most people I've seen had him ranked in the 20s as a prospect, falling into the second isn't THAT big of a surprise. I mean I'd have been more surprised at him going top 15 than dropping into the 30's or even 40s.That open workout he had for teams last week is making more sense now. He had huge variance in his grades. As high as top 10 (crazy IMO) through 20s. Betting markets these past couple of days put him between 14-17.I mean, most people I've seen had him ranked in the 20s as a prospect, falling into the second isn't THAT big of a surprise. Sure... but who knows what him medicals look like, a guy who had to have a bone graft from his pelvis to fix his foot and is 7'2" and has no muscle in his legs is concerning. He might be an interesting gamble, but impossible to know without knowing what his medicals looked likeBol is there for the taking.
Congrats they took EdwardsJust take Carsen Edwards.
Bol Bol is giving me a Fab Melo (RIP) vibe.
I'd prefer the guy who can shoot and play defense in 2019.Pass, get and make free throws, also has a better NBA body with the bigger wingspan
The worst part of his night was that the chair won.Was he playing against a chair or something?
I don't think there is any real indication he'll necessarily be better at either of those at the NBA level. They're similar defenders and Langford has better tools. As for shooting.... NCAA 3pt% is not very predictive, the FT% is more so.I'd prefer the guy who can shoot and play defense in 2019.
Bol's body is so bad that even Billy Beane has him off his board.Sure... but who knows what him medicals look like, a guy who had to have a bone graft from his pelvis to fix his foot and is 7'2" and has no muscle in his legs is concerning. He’s a better shooter than his numbers even indicate because he takes so many pulls ups from way deep. Over 10 three attempts per game! He’s a great spot-up shooter. Instant offense. Strong as shit too- more bench reps than most bigs. Fights on D.Watched this kid in the tourney game in Hartford and loved him. So tough and strong, with unlimited range.
Romeo had torn ligaments in his shooting thumb last year and played with his shooting hand heavily bandaged. Shooting is the easiest skill to improve and Romeo has fantastic ball skills as a 2 who really plays like a modern-day one with a ton of iso.I don't think there is any real indication he'll necessarily be better at either of those at the NBA level. It's more watching those draftnits who had him going mid-first lose their minds on television and Twitter. I had already circled this night as a blackout date in my life.Rooting for Bol Bol's continued embarrassment is a weird way to spend your Thursday night.
Yeah, despite not liking the pick my post was defending him as better than Keldon. Though we disagree on shooting being the easiest skill to improve. I think it's defense by a mile.Romeo had torn ligaments in his shooting thumb last year and played with his shooting hand heavily bandaged. Yeah, the first thing I noticed in that video I posted is that he has a ton of bulk for a short guard. And yet he can still sprint past everyone on the fast break. He’s a better shooter than his numbers even indicate because he takes so many pulls ups from way deep. Over 10 three attempts per game! To be fair that's before he missed almost the whole year because his foot turned to dust and had to be rebuilt using his pelvisWasn't Bol projected to be a top 5 pick in this draft during the preseason?
