Per Glazer: Todd Bowles, Gregg Williams, Marvin Lewis, Vance Joseph, Joe Philbin, Dirk Koetter, and Steve Wilks are all expected to be fired.

Marrone returning, but all is not happy in Jagsville

The Jacksonville Jaguars are bringing back their leadership core for 2019, but that doesn't mean all signs of dysfunction have dissolved within the ether of a lost season.

Tom Coughlin, the Jaguars' executive vice president of football operations, said in a statement after Sunday's 20-3 loss to the Houston Texans he was disappointed in running backs Leonard Fournetteand T.J. Yeldon for their actions throughout the game.

"I am disappointed in the behavior today from T.J. Yeldon and Leonard Fournette," Coughlin said. "They were disrespectful, selfish and their behavior was unbecoming that of a professional football player."

And here's what they (the Jags running backs) did:

Yeldon and Fournette reportedly sat by themselves during the game and it is unclear what factored into that decision. Fournette was inactive because of ankle and foot injuries. Yeldon was active, but didn't have a single carry against the Texans. According to multiple reports, Fournette and Yeldon were spotted looking disinterested in the game, including when the offense was on the field.

Packers want to interview McD and Flores.

I think the Flores one is premature, but he's considered a young guy with potential, so it's good to talk to him. He also checks off a box for the Packers due to the Rooney Rule.

Darnold. Adams. Williams.

They have had unbelievably good luck in the first round the last few years. (EDIT: not just luck, great picks if obvious ones.) Maybe ownership is looking too hard at that, and not hard enough at the overall roster management?

Those guys were all consensus BPA. Never addressed oline. Bad FA signings. Guy just fucking sucks. Hopefully new coach will have a big say in personnel.

Gut feeling Zimmer gets sacked. Gase and Jay Gruden should be hearing footsteps too.

I’d take Zimmer or Gase for NYJ. Hoping for the crazy brother, though. I don’t have enough info on most college coaches or coordinators to have any worthwhile opinions. I wouldn’t mind that asshole from Clemson. Dude seems to know how to build a team.

You would think Mayock would actually be a good hire assuming they give him control of the draft. Supposedly Chuckie has final say over the roster, so the draft should be Mayock's big focus.

From one POV the Cincy job might be the most attractive opening. You could end up being an NFL coach for a decade regardless of if you win or not. From a strict economics view that's a great opportunity.

Ross about to hire a big name college coach?

Jets would be MB not to hire Gase.

The Dolphins firing Gase is really dumb. It is tough to win in this league without a QB. I think that guy is a pretty good coach. I would prefer more of a disciplinarian (I hate stupid penalties) but I would be fine with Gase.

So many bad owners out there.

You make a good point but I give Marvin credit for stabilizing that franchise a bit. That team was a laughingstock for many years. Recently they have been a middle class team. With the right hire, they could be competitive next year.

Surprised Rivera is safe. Feels like Carolina needs a new direction. And that Jay Gruden rumors aren’t hotter.

If Houston loses to Colts O’Brien might hear footsteps also.

I have always thought Gase’s rep was based mostly on smoke but his performance with that roster and QB is really not bad. That to me is a situation where ownership would have been best served with one more year of patience. And signing Nick Foles.

I think his retirement was legit, but like many coaches he’s bored out of his mind if he isn’t working 100 hours a week. I think his offense is a good fit for Winston. He’ll never be a a slice and dice architect. His strengths are that he’s tough, will stand in the pocket, and can throw it deep - just like Big Ben, Luck, and Palmer did playing for him.

What is up with Arizona firing a coach after 1 year?

They hired the guy so they must have liked him. Sure they sucked but they were competitive in quite a few games and have a rookie QB.

I don’t follow them at all, but do they already know who they want or did ownership think they made a big mistake?

This has to be part of the reason why Josh is not jumping at these coaching vacancies. You are lucky to get 2 years to turn things around before they show you the door.
