denver got punched in the mouth last night and was not the better team but oakland would had beat anyone not named NE or KC last night what worried me

1 is the sec 0-8 on the road couild happen
2 short passing games with 3 step drops can doom our pass rush to zip
3 OT
4 the ownship puzzale we dont have a owner and the likely one britteny bowlen will be inexperied
J-man,

I thought Sutton looked great last night. Looks like the heir apparent at WR.

I wouldn’t overreact to the late Monday opening weekend game. Weird things have happened recently with these.

Denver has the problem I thought they might that I posted earlier in this thread that 1-5 in the division is a real possibility.

I had them at 4-12 looking at their sched but you should be comforted to know that I’m not a great prognosticator.

this loss today was one of the worst ways to lose a game i kinda say blow it up trade harris jr for a 2nd trade sanders for a 2nd play lock after week 9 try to get a 7th for bolies trade wolfe for a 3rd/4th and after 2020 put von out there or in the 2019 offseason

Sanders looks great coming back from injury, but he's a 32 year old wide receiver. Getting a 3rd for him would be a great return for the Broncos.

Regarding #4: The NFL won't let this happen J-man. The lack of a specific succession plan (Pat Bowlen appointed an executive committee to run the team after he was diagnosed with dementia) has created a real mess with the ownership of the team. Now, after an unsuccessful lawsuit brought by Bowlen's brother William to remove the committee, Goodell has intervened.
The dismissal of Bill Bowlen’s lawsuit does not end the ownership tussle, though; instead, it puts the matter squarely in the N.F.L.’s hands.
In an effort to resolve the dispute out of court, N.F.L. Commissioner Roger Goodell in March appointed Carmen Policy, a former executive with the San Francisco 49ers, to serve as arbitrator in an NFL sanctioned mediation. Policy has been asked to determine whether the trustees have the authority to decide which of Pat Bowlen’s seven children can become the new controlling owner of the team, or if the team should be sold. He also must determine if the trustees have acted within the boundaries of Pat Bowlen’s succession plan.
If this team is put up for sale there should be a stampede of tech billionaires or someone named Coors trying to outbid each other for ownership. Meanwhile Elway probably flies under the radar and keeps his job because there is not one person in charge to fire him.

I don't know what the answer is to those long-term questions, but in the short term it looks like Vic Fangio's first year as a head coach is going to be a team that finds an identity through offense. Munchak is coaching up their O-line, and there is some very green talent at the skill positions: Lindsay/Freeman, Sutton/Hamilton, and Fant. Their offensive line will continue to improve, and their offense should start to blossom. It's been a rough start for all of the rookie head coaches (Brian Flores, Kliff Kingsbury, and Brian Flores), but this one looks to be the most interesting considering the specific challenges for the coaching staff, and where they can be by the end of the season.

When you can have 6-7 Brock Osweiler what do you need with Russell Wilson?

It’s kinda fascinating to watch pro sports teams slowly grasp that inherent traits are a means to the ends of production, not the point in and of itself.

Sounds like someone didn’t see Money Ball.

You could say this about every team in the NFL. But hitting on the draft, getting a QB, and building a quality OL is hard to do, and if Elway continues to stay in charge, it'll be even harder.

That’s a lot of picks they need to hit on j-man. Is Elway the guy to do it?
No. Denver is in trouble in the short and intermediate term. They just don't have the talent or any organizational consistency. (look at the QBs in the last 7 years, it's been one guy after another)

Elway really doesn't know what he's doing. At least they have 2015.

He should have rebuilt after Manning retired. But Elway's far too competitive for a rebuild, and while his competitive nature obviously served him well as a player, it's a liability as a GM where he is in charge of everything. He can't admit to mistakes. Instead, he doubles down. Plus his drafting sucks. Not a good combo.

Elway proved he could build around a HoF QB by surrounding him with high priced veteran free agents. That strategy worked, basically, as they won a lot of games over a four year span, including 2 AFC titles and 1 Super Bowl. But they put themselves into future cap he’ll for that run and have paid the piper since. That, and Elway can’t evaluate QBs. It’s a good thing they won in 2015. If lots of little miracles hadn’t happened, I wonder how the Manning Era in Denver would have been looked upon - success or failure?

who knows the main plom is elway and front office love that 25 year old shanny off which works to a point but not with no o-line and a done flacco the weird thing denver might only win 1 or 2 more and might only pick 5th or 6th

to awaser your q i wouild had look at it as a failure because of 12-13 seattle was loaded in 13 but in 12 denver was the best football team and honestly i wouild had rather won in 12 then in 15 very balanced team in 12

lets play that what if game

if the jets beats the broncos in 98
Bill P retires after that super bowl win over minn
Bill B is the jets head coach had Leon Hess lived longer bill wouild had stay in NY he liked Hess
Don Capeers is the coach of NE instead of bill b
its possable brady still goes to ne but if he got to be a unfa he likely goes to SF anyway

but maybe capers falls in love with drew brees in 2001 and takes him or gets jay felder as a backup to drew

Even if you want to play the what if game... it takes a strong willed coach to not give an all-star QB his job back when he returns from injury. So Brady maybe never gets the time of day in NE once Bledoe is healthy if there is another coach in charge.

the broncos are 3-7 but 5 of their losses is by 1 score or less if they can learn to finesh games and build on what they have this can be a intsering team in 2020 or 2021

QB Flcco just did not work out Allen is a backup type and Lock is a q mark unlees lock show up big denver will need a QB in 20 or 21
RB Great shape here Lindray and freeman combied couild get 1'300 y jano is a top 5 FB
WR Stuon has took a huge leap a top 10 WR that can go to top 5 with a betther QB patrick couild be a good 2 denver needs a speed WR to open up the wr core
TE Fant couild be a poor man kcele by this time next year the rest of the TE are just JAG
OL other than riser and maybe J James denver needs at least 2 maybe 3 OL
DL Most everyone here is FA Purcell will get 1 spot hopefully the bears cut akeem hicks de and a combo of wofle and d jones can get the other spot
LB A Johnson ILB has allmost saved denver def with him miller chubb the LB are set
CB Need a lot of work here Harris is likey gone wouild be a great patoit Callan shouild be back but is a ? mark Davote Harris a benglie castoff shouild fit somewhere they need 1 vet cb and 1 draft pick
S is maybe the best set in the NFL i wouild put simmons jackson and parks aga any team
K Mcmanas has lost a step
Waldmen is maybe the worst P in the league

denver if elway stays the couse and nails the next 2 drafts in 2021 denver couild be really good
