any news/insight on yall's QB Brown? hearing he may be a grad transfer with possible landing spots at UVA, Georgia, or Miami. Just reading this on UVA board as a possibility. I don't have any articles or inside info.

Hafley will be on the Coaches Film Room for the national championship game. Could be especially interesting considering he was game planning against Clemson two weeks ago.

Many college football fans rejoiced earlier in the week when it was announced that the highly-popular Coaches Film Room would return next week as part of ESPN's coverage of the College Football National Championship Game between No. 1 LSU and No. 3 Clemson on Jan. 13. And on Thursday, the list of coaches set to partake in the broadcast was unveiled.

Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy, Boston College's Jeff Hafley, Vanderbilt's Derek Mason and TCU's Gary Patterson are set to be the four coaches featured during the broadcast.

Notre Dame QB Phil Jurkovec entered the transfer portal, he is visiting BC and 247 predicts that he ends up here. Was the #4 dual threat QB in the country in the 2018 class.

I know they are losing AB and Kobay White, but Jurkovec would be a massive get, along with Tarik Black.

This could be a program altering get if he reaches his potential.
I said the same earlier, I am definitely with you. Then Tarik Black as another big name transfer, Hafley is off to a good start.

I've read that there is a very good chance that he gets the waiver so he can play right away. Feels good to feel optimistic about the program finally.

I thought Black was now Georgia bound but who knows??

Interesting to see if Hafley can get some other offensive pieces to surround his new QB.

Here’s a link to the transfer rules. Assuming he was on an athletic scholarship at Notre Dame, a waiver is required, even if ND signs off.

http://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes/current/transfer-terms

Internal rules were put in place last summer to try to ensure that the NCAA rules consistently on similar waiver requests.

Here’s a case that illustrates why giving the NCAA this kind of power over young people’s lives is bad.

Hafley is on the coaches round table for the game tonight if you’re interested in getting to know him a bit.
Checked it out for a bit - he seemed like he fit in with the rest of the (more experienced) coaches. Couple of amusing times where he asked the other coaches (half jokingly but probably also somewhat seriously) something along the lines “ok as a new head coach what should I be thinking if I was in this situation?”

Definitely comes off as a thinker and tactician. Definitely not in the gym teacher mode.

Have to say not a true BC football fan...But having lived in the region before moving to Pa..still follow the team and hope the program does well. And having t..The opportunity to see Jurcovec several times during his high school career. nice get...But having the new HC on the coach's room..Great for you guys...Let's face it...This is the only time BC football will be mentioned tonight. Trust me when I say this with Phil, you have yourselves a good QB going forward.
