Unfortunately, nobody on the Twins staff has 2018 Tilt mojo such that they can tell Sanchez to "get in the f***** box" and then proceed to strike him out.

Baldelli had a nice first season, but I really don't understand why he's now saving the guy who should have started game #1 for game #3. I guess it's because of Odorizzi's career 5.40 ERA in Yankee Stadium, but the Yanks lit him up in Minnesota in July (4 IP, 9 ER) after he pitched 6 shutout innings in New York in May. It was a mistake not to start him last night since he's now only available for one game regardless, but I'd definitely go to him now with the prospect of being down 0-2 before you even put your best pitcher on the mound.

Dobnak hasn't thrown more than 78 pitches in a major league game and his success looks like a result of not being overexposed while pitching in the AL Central (.458 OPSa vs. <.500 teams / .756 OPSa vs. >.500 teams).

Yeah. I mean you’d think they’d want to start the Rook at home where he’s more familiar and has a friendly crowd.

It’s on a lot of cruise routes, so I think it’s been rebuilt. Amazing how well a lot of the cities in Europe have been restored after WWII or other wars.

Can the Twins at least make it a series, please?
I was there ten years ago and aside from some different colored shingles and the occasional bullet hole, you’d never know it was ever damaged.

It’s an amazing place.

As for the Twins. Dunno. Hope so. They need to win tonight. If they do, I give them a 50/50 chance.

I keep waiting for the Twins to have their Dave Roberts moment that flips the series and ends the losing streak. I mean, isn’t that what usually happens in these rivalries? Eventually the other team breaks through.

Thanks to this and another post, I have been Googling and was happy to see that the rebuilding has been exemplary. How great.

I wonder Dobnak can pick up a few fares around the Bronx while this game is completed. Yankee fans would absolutely give him five stars.

if you look at their roster, it is kind of surprising they got this far. feasting on AL central teams certainly helped. that pitching rotation is just a bunch of cast offs

The Twins aren't going to get annihilated because of some mystique and aura the Yankees hold over them. They're going to get annihilated because they have probably the worst pitching staff of any team that's ever won 100 games.
