Sincerely,I don’t get the complaints guys. Lining up guys without the puck who are looking up ice in the NZ and finishing with a head shot has always been kosher in my book.
Whoa, that name is very familiar. Mark Allred, the dude whose tweet this is, was on my brother's Little League team and his father was my eighth grade social studies teacher. Kind of wild.
Veteran Bruins defenseman Kevan Miller, still recovering from a pair of kneecap fractures he sustained over a two-month stretch last spring, could engage in full-contact practices with the team next week, a substantial step toward returning to the lineup.
“Progressing well,” said Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy following Thursday’s workout in Brighton, where Miller skated in a red (noncontact) sweater. “He looked good out there. There’s still a timeline, and I don’t think he’d be available for the next three games, anyway.”
Maybe I'm reading too much into what may just be the usual non-answers about injuries, but I wonder if Backes is doing exactly that. IIRC, Cassidy's first comments referred to him as "rattled." I thought at the time that was odd phrasing. Maybe it's just wishful thinking that Backes *isn't* concussed again, but that he did see his life flash before his eyes, can get out before he's the guy laying face down, and needs a day or three to consider his next move.I really hope that Backes takes a long look at his quality of life after hockey before deciding to come back from this one. If it were me, I’d walk away.
My wife worked with him a bit on his Atlhetes for Animals thing, and said he couldn't have been a nicer or more genuine guy. Anecdotal, I know - but it's something.Anywho, hope for then best for Backes. The contract sucks but by all accounts he is a real good guy and teammate. Given his history it is very scary to see him go through it again.
He also drew an interference penalty on Mete with his speed before the game winning goal that inexplicably went uncalled. He looked pretty good. I want to see more.I thought Senyshyn played a strong game last night.

He didn’t make it on the scoresheet but I thought he could’ve had a secondary assist on the Bjork goal (if memory serves- I think he fed the puck to McAvoy who took the shot that created the rebound for Bjork) and obviously he had the primary assist on the disallowed Coyle goal.
Encouraging season debut and I thought he didn’t look out of place. Obviously we’ll have to see if he can bring that kind of performance on a nightly basis. Don’t expect him to morph into a bonafide top 6 wing but he at least looked like someone who could contribute.
I am excited for the sole reason that I might just have to replace the "eguin" on my jersey.Totally agree on Senyshen, was encouraging to see how comfortable here looked.
Different position, but he reminded me of Spooner, with fewer fly-bys.Maybe it was a low bar thing with Senyshyn, he wasn't a world beater, but nothing was glaringly bad. They scored a couple times and didn't give any up at even strength. That's about all you can ask for out of a young kid who has struggled to this point. Limited minutes but his Corsi stuff is all okay. Sucks he got injured just as he was kind of settling in and as you said they are really really thin down the RW.
