On top of the disappointment that NESN won’t release a DVD to commemorate the 2018 Red Sox, it seems that Sports Illustrated will not issue its traditional HARDBOUND version of the commemorative magazine special it released about the 2018 Red Sox in early November. Or will they?

I had acquired the 2004, 2007, and 2013 versions (on top of the 5 books for the NE Patriots) and it sucks that I will not be able to add to my collection this year.

If you have no idea what I am talking about, here is the link for the 2004 version: https://www.collectors.com/sports-item/red-sox-sports-illustrated-04-world-series-champions-hard-c/-3919167891941354884

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

And while we are at it, disappointment #3 has been the non-release of this MLB World Series commemorative book, which I had been collecting for every season since it launched in 2011 until 2017: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/660340364085534300/#details?amp_client_id=WbhG8XbqKZy8Kwj3aH031u6aHHE3rMblxgsbTC8kg35fo6bbM-mRPWep4qoJDygV&mweb_unauth_id=f5fc6093b1e6bf1c8a3a46be836abc44

It sucks that they stop producing them this season, the year the Red Sox won it all...Am I the only one disappointed?

I'm with you on that. I felt the hardback was a terrific cap to it all. I live in LA so wasn't expecting to find in any stores here. I will now inform relatives in New England to stop looking at their local Star Market.

As an aside, watched the Damage Done video last night and really missed having the earlier playoff series shown.

Weird that both changes occurred after an historic season.

Having seen the hardcover copies advertised for a number of years but never actually held one, In 2004 I ordered five copies as gifts.
The first one to me, from me. I was terribly disappointed. I already had the magazine copy, soft copy and now I had two, albeit one hardcover wrapped. I certainly understand how a fan of a team could really enjoy a commemorative copy but IMO this CES up short.
