I love everything about that, including that Jimmy G is still part of the posse.

On the other hand, I recognize maybe half of the faces there. Probably less. Anyone able to do that left / first picture without googling?

I'd say Kevin O'Connell deserves better, but largely he didn't.

fake edit: is Drew Bledsoe occupied by obligations at the TD Garden this weekend?

I absolutely love how Brady has been in the league for so long that more than one of his backup QBs are head coaches/coaches now.

Jimmy G's cheekbones could be their own country. He's markedly more handsome than Brady. No wonder Brady rode him out of town.

Second Tweet, top right pic...did Gisele never teach him how to tie a tie? That's poor form Thomas.

Off base, but looking at list of current NFL he'd coaches to see who had been his teammate (I was drawing a blank on Kingsbury) -- BB has as many rings as the rest of the active head coaching ranks combined.
Gruden 1
Harbaugh 1
Payton 1
Pederson 1
Tomlin 1
Carroll 1

BB 6

Two of our favorites, Colin Cowherd and Rob Parker, discussing Brady making just $15 million a year.

Starts around 2:30 in.

Parker, naturally, doesn't understand, if Brady is taking discounts, who exactly the Patriots are paying the money that they save on Brady. Neither of these guys gets that while NE does have some higher-end salaried guys, they mainly fatten up in the middle of the roster, so instead of having 10s, 9s, and 8s in the starting lineup and 2s, 3s, and 4s as backups, they have a few 10s and 9s, but mainly 8s and 7s in the starting lineup, but lots of 5s and 6s as backups. And because the NFL is a war of attrition, when attrition happens, the Patriots have quality players to still put in there.

Do you suppose that, say, Ernie Adams will flip on these guys just to laugh at them?

I am sure BB doesn't have time or interest in that. But someone in the org might?

I assumed that Rob Parker's take was going to be that anything over a few million for Brady was a massive overpay.

Just because I'm in that kind of mood...... Tom Brady career NFL individual all-time rankings.

AV - #2 (269 - 2 behind the leader, Peyton Manning)
AV (weighted) - #2 (175 - 2 behind the leader, Peyton Manning)
Pro Bowls - t#1 (14)
MVP - t#2 (3 - 2 behind the leader, Peyton Manning)
TD passes - #3 (517 - 22 behind the leader, Peyton Manning)
Passer Rating - #4 (97.6 - 5.4 behind the leader, Aaron Rodgers)
Passing Yards - #4 (70,514 - 3,923 behind the leader, Drew Brees)
Pass Int % - t#2 (1.8% - .3% behind the leader, Aaron Rodgers)
GW Drives - #4 (44 - 10 behind the leader, Peyton Manning)
4th Qtr Comebacks - #2 (35, 8 behind the leader, Peyton Manning)

I remember years ago we were viewing Brady as the "winner" while Manning was the "stat guy". Well, Brady's put up unbelievable stats while maintaining the winning.

Just a few interesting numbers to tide us over as we get closer to training camp, one day at a time.

How many un-intercepted passes would Tom Brady need to throw to have a lower INT% than Aaron Rodgers?

Brady: 171 / 9,375 (1.824%)
Rodgers: 80 / 5,492 (1.457%)

==> 171 / (1.457%) = 11,739.15
(11,740 - 9,375) = 2,365 more passes without an interception

Looks like that's one that's gonna hold up, barring the spirit of Brett Favre demonically possessing Rodgers for a time.

But who's "tied" with Brady at #2? Of all people, Colin Kaepernick (30 / 1,692 = 1.773%). So Kaep is actually ahead. Assuming Kaepernick doesn't throw another pass, it would take Brady 270 more throws without an INT to get under Kaep's number and actually be #2. Except that each INT he throws raises that number by ~57 attempts. Wishing you luck in that, Tom!

Wait, you mean Tom Brady and Jimmy G. are still friendly? I figured Jimmy would hate him, after Tom and Kraft colluded behind BB's back to run him out of town....

Right! Toms shennanigans led to Jimmy being the highest paid Q for only like 14 months and getting his own team. He should knock Toms hat off and say "You Sir, are a scoundrel."

Do you ever think Hoyer just sits around Crying quietly to himself? Despite him doing "ok" in the wife/life department.

At what point should we get concerned that Tom has not signed an extension? I expected that to have been finalized by now. Among other reasons, doing so would have given the Pats some flexibility for other needs.

Perhaps they have to wait for enough time to elapse since the last extension.

When we see him suited up for another team playing a game. I can't imagine there is any actual fear in this not getting worked out.

According to Paul Perillo on Patriots Unfiltered, an individual in a position to absolutely know (in the Patriots org.) says that TB didn’t hit any of the incentives they put in during last year’s renegotiation, therefore his $$$ did not increase, so he can re-do the deal anytime, they don’t have to wait til August. I’m sure they’ll get it done at some point. I don’t think there’s any reason to worry even a second about it.

This would be an odd time to walk away, for both sides.

The USPTO will limit the trademark's applicability to paraphernalia relating to a specific sport. You may never hear about this again.

Compared to, say, the photo of him with a literal goat, this will have neither literal nor figurative legs.

I don't give a shit whether it has legs, and didn't say it would.

I simply said I think it's a mistake.

Mets fans are usually Jets fans too. Troll away, Tom, and market their tears as an energy drink.

Why would anyone want to drink anything that comes out of a Jets/Mets fan or any New Yorker for that matter? Good way to get plaque psoriasis (I work in a specialty pharmacy and at one point we were shipping an oral psoriasis medication to patient after patient after patient all throughout the state).
