Being in this city right now is a fucking blast. Saturday all downtown bars were packed with LOOONGGG lines. My wife and I were lucky (ok, a little smart, too) to find one about 5-6 blocks from the arena and get in before the lines began, then got a seat at the bar when someone attending the game left. This Post piece captures pretty well the atmosphere after the game.

Holtby playing absolutely out of his mind since the middle of game 2 other than one 5 second brain freeze

Seems strange to say this for a team that's never even sniffed a conference final before, but the Caps are playing like they've been here before. Vegas clearly isn't.

Those were the kind of saves he was making in rounds 1-3. Unsustainable. Regression hitting hard, he’s at like a sub .850 save percentage this series.

I’d argue that playing the Stanley Cup champs to six and seven games the previous two seasons has prepared them pretty well.

Totally different Caps team than usual. Normally they would continue to blow it; now they're getting goals from their worst players like Kempny there or Smith-Pelley in game three.

Reaves is a fucking joke, and they immediately sent him back out on to the ice to throw another cheap shot

Here
My wife is one game away. I want to hate the Caps, but this team is pretty cool and I want to see her win one.

.845 save percentage this series. His only worse series was the gong show against the Flyers in 2012.

Turned back into a pumpkin at the most inopportune time. He was in the Conn Smyth discussion even with a VGK loss prior to this series, but that’s gone now. Probably going to be Kuznetsov if the Caps close it out.

Didn't show it on tv, but the intro to the pregame included a nobody believes in us video referencing the 2004 alcs and pats down 28-3 among other great comebacks, that was fun

According to the pregame, the Capital will beat the Knight but then lose to a group of female archers that come to help. I’m ready for it

Maybe the guy in the suit of armor can play tonight and take Wilson out with his sword..............poor Smoltzy had a catapult fired at his end of the rink, hope the crease is ok.

I just rewound the pregame to get caught up. I've lately been playing a 10-hour loop of the Brass Bonanza (found on YouTube) for my wife explaining how this used to pump us up at Whalers' games. The intro theatrics certainly have evolved since then....this is pretty fun. I second the hope for a 7th game.

I don’t know if it’s even possible at this stage, but it’s probably time to break up Marchessault-Karlsson-Smith. They don’t look right at all.
