Really psyched to add Wilkerson to the list of players in which BB instilled a sense of belonging and duty to T E A M. Fills a need, maybe his douchebaggery keeps the price tag down juuuuuust enough?

Per the police report, Anderson allegedly told the arresting officer he was going to find his wife, "f**k her and n*t in her eye.” My lord. Report said he was doing 105 mph in a 45 mph zone
@AndySlater had it first.

My first read I was thinking he was talking about his wife (hence the speeding), but upon re-read referring to the cop's wife makes a lot more sense

Though his last 3 tweets, all from 15 hours ago muddy the waters..

"My wife"

"Damn dog"

"I'm flaming right na man I swear"
Wait—is that like, “Where is that damn dog!?” or like, “Daaaaaaaaamn, Dawg!”?

Probably all the time I've spent in the various harassment threads...I never even considered a romantic philanderous tryst. Various reports are stating it was the cops wife who was the object of his unconventional affection.
I like that you think of consensual facials as romantic. If you were 22 and female, you'd be perfect for me.

"The arresting officer reported no indications of drug or alcohol influence." Well at least he was sober. He doesn't seem to be a big fan of Dale Carnegie either.

He knows how to influence people. He influenced that cop pretty well. It's the winning friends part he clearly needs to work on.

Stuff like this makes me think of the old Chris Rock routine about kinda sorta Probably Spousal abuse and OJ (simpler times I guess). "I would never hit a woman but I would shake the shit out of her. But I understand".

I think of the cop. I would never condone shooting someone if they didnt feel their life was in jeapordy.....But I could see them tasing the shit out of someone if they said this to me.

Can you tase someone in the eye?

No pressure, kid

First-round draft pick Sam Darnold will lead the New York Jets to greatness, according to CEO Christopher Johnson, who said Tuesday the addition of the former USC star will be remembered as a turning point in franchise history.

"I think people are going to look back -- I honestly think they're going to look back 20 years from now and say this is the moment the Jets shifted into a new year, that they became a great team," Johnson told reporters at a charity event in Manhattan.

C'mon, at least he is realistic about the O line

"I absolutely think he can be our quarterback of the future," Johnson said. "I'm not the GM, I'm not the head coach, but I can recognize a great football player, and he's so good at playing football when everything goes wrong, when the pocket collapses.

"When it all goes to hell, he can throw across his body. He can throw when his feet are in the wrong place. He can do a lot of things that are hard to teach."

I don’t think you need to tout the guy when you have the guy. Especially when you received no criticism for taking him where you did. And this is New York.

La Mancha.
It's ALWAYS a good idea to set out almost-certainly unrealistic expectations on a rookie leader before he even takes his fist regular-season snap for your team. It's backfire-proof.

I just wish there was a way to do something with his last name to demonstrate that he’s the future of the franchise.

Same Darn Old Story

Just kidding, they are going to be great for 20 years and only the 49'ers stand in their way.

The Jets are trying to force Darnold to accept a contract that let's them void his entire guarantee if he gets fined for conduct on or off-field at any point during the life of the contract. The report also notes that "that it is believed that no other top-three pick in the last 10 years has had that language in their deal either". This is also the hold up for Roquon Smith's contract with the Bears. NFL teams are looking for every chance to nickle and dime players. Hopefully Darnold and Smith hold out until they get what they want, especially Smith, since as a defender he has a much better chance of getting fined with the new helmet rules that no one seems to understand.

I think Darnold is going to be in for a bit a shock when he sees regular season action...

Darnold said. "It's really nice to be able to get that width and be able to see exactly what the coverage is. You can tell right away most of the time whether it's man or zone, which is really cool."
How did he look in the game, his numbers were not bad.

He looked really good but I’m biased. Bridgewater looked good too. O line might suck though. Might be ok, need to see more.
