That's fair but he had those receivers you mentioned last year and he was still only marginally better than this year. Even in his good season he was incapable of stretching the field and it took an otherworldly season from the line and Elliott to propel the offense. It's not a mystery why they're constantly facing 8 and 9 man fronts.

Now, to your point about poor roster construction, I've spilled a ton of ink griping about that. So you're preaching to the choir on that.
Right, and all 3 of those guys are out of football now (maybe not Terrance Williams, but I haven't heard his name this year). They were all on the downswing last year, clearly. They should be facing 8 and 9 man fronts. The only weapon in the offense starts every play from 7 yards behind the LOS.

Hopefully, Dallas will eventually put some skill position guys around him, and we'll see what he does. I just don't think you can really judge him based on what he has to work with right now. Just like you couldn't really judge Brady in the first few weeks trying to make plays with guys who probably wouldn't even be on most NFL rosters.

It's also the receiving corps in a nutshell. If Watson makes that same play and throw, Hopkins catches it, and everyone is talking about how great Watson is. Dak's receivers can't make the play, so he's a bad QB.
Oh, come off it. Yes, that should have been caught but it was a bad throw. I won't blame him for that particular throw because he was off balance but spare me the passive aggressive BS.

They are so fucking bad. Just fucking hand the ball to your running back three times, give him a lead blocker and see what happens. I mean, do they not even have a big package?

And then kick on 4th down because it didn't work the first time. One run on 4th down at worst leaves Dallas inside the 5.

They'd almost be better off taking a false start or delay of game penalty anytime they have the ball inside the five. If you're going to spread the field and come out of the shotgun, at least give your receivers room to work. You got 11 defenders basically "in the box" when your on the goal line, and if they don't have to worry about a run, it just becomes too easy to defend.

Seriously. Wtf happened to Crosby? Has to be an injury right?
I picked him up in my fantasy league this week. It's all my fault.

But seriously, I don't think he's hurt. He ended up making his last kick. Just got in his own head and started missing them from both sides, hit two posts I believe...It was just ugly. I thought his plant foot slipped on a logo on the field on one, and he seemed to be blaming the holder on another...

They'll probably run a screen to Zeke, or a draw with either Zeke or Dak, but I think Dallas should try to come back to that screen to Swaim that they used earlier in the game.

Daniel Ross might have just saved the game for Dallas, because Coutee had broken free, and had nothing but green grass in front of him.

Really impressed with this Coutee. First time in forever that Texans have had a legit slot guy.

No reason to run OOB? Now they have a chance to run one play and kick
Clock would have stopped whenever he got tackled, so with green grass in front of him, he might have been able to pick up another 10-20 yards and they would have maybe already been in FG range.

Why would you move Beasley into the backfield behind Elliott? So the defense has one less guy to worry about and can focus even more on Elliott? I seriously don't understand that.

This is painful to watch - little concerned for Watson since every time they show him on the sideline he is being examined by a doctor listening to his breathing with a stethoscope. If you have to check the same player for broken ribs and or a punctured lung 3 times in a game, it’s probably time to be done
