I honestly think Mike McCoy is being blackmailed over horrible gambling debts. It's the only way his decisions make sense

Well fuck. So much for the Cowboys finally pulling the trigger on a trade for Thomas. Should have done it sooner, dumbasses!

Here
Russell Wilson is shaping up to be the sort of QB who can win you a Super Bowl on a rookie contract, but not when he’s chewing up $20mm+ of your cap.
I definitely think you can win with him being paid, but the defense needs a rebuild and the OL has been utter trash for 3-5 years.

Really hard to watch the Cardinals just running D.J. into the line over and over again. Dude should be seeing double digit targets every game.

Yep.

They lost a lot of foundational pieces the past year or so, and their OL is and has been flat out shitty for some time. Much like the Giants, they've devoted draft resources to the OL, but it hasn't brought great results as of yet. They could get back into contention pretty quickly with a good offseason and development out of some of their last few crops of picks.

If you're looking for a good case study for how difficult it is to sustain success year-in, year-out in the NFL, look no further than Seattle. They had a string of MONSTER drafts and a string of solid FA pickups/trades (Harvin excluded) in the early '10s that put them as a top 3-4 NFL team for about half a decade. However, they're clearly having trouble transitioning to the post-Legion of Boom era as their roster talent has eroded for any number of reasons. The Pats really are a unicorn.

My wife is agog about how the call was in the grasp. She's like, "That looked like a fumble. And it was on the dirt, too."

I reiterate, in the grasP, not grass. It was kind of hilarious. I'm having a fun day.

Nick Chubb has 3 carries, 105 yards, and 2 touchdowns. He has both a 63 and a 41 yard TD run. Maybe some more carries are in order?

Buffalo Bills....

Lose at Baltimore 47-3.
Lose at home vs the Chargers 31-20.
Win at Minnesota 27-6.
Lose at Green Bay 22-0.

How in the HELL did Buffalo win at Minnesota by three touchdowns, given that they've gone 0-3 with a point differential of -77 against all other opponents?

The NFL is weird and that's why the Patriots lost in Detroit last week.
