I feel like Mahomes is what Flutie would have been had he been given the chance.

Every time I see announcers get all googly about the drop back, I wonder if anyone has ever seen Australian Rules Football. Back in the early days of ESPN, you used to be able to catch games early on a Saturday or Sunday morning. It's like a mixture of Rugby, Football and Soccer, but the goal is to drop kick the ball through uprights. The ball is smaller than an American football, and the ball doesn't reach the ground before it's kicked, but usually they don't kick it until it's literally an inch off the ground.

It doesn't surprise me that an Australian punter like Seattle's is capable of a drop kick. He's a bit of a punter/trick shot artist:

The cradle of the game.

Is that the sport where two little well-dressed referee guys walk out from the end line, stop, and then point with both index fingers like Fonze?

Not Lynn (or Ocean Side)

Arthur Fonzarelli is absolutely, positively the last vision I have when thinking of AFL referees. They’re not turning on any jukeboxes with a well-placed punch.

I fucking love Russell Wilson. Loved him in college, loved him when he came out, and still love him. If I had a choice of any QB to take over after Brady is done, he'd be right at the top of the list.

I always crack up a little when the announcers scream "GAPING HOLE!"

There are a ton of aspects of gridiron football that really deliver the giggles to the 12-year-old in you.

I should be very thankful 11-5 would be enough for the 2 seed, but 12-4 could have been enough for the 1 seed. just a 4-4 road record would have done it !

Why not go for 2 there? Forcing KC to score 2 TDs vs a FG/TD/2pt is a huge diff IMO.
If you miss it you are still up the TD/FG

Seahawks and Ravens will be a handful in the playoffs.

May be Pete Carroll’s best coaching job in NFL.
