Let me know when Burfict stands over someone he illegally concusses, makes a pre-planned celebration about it for the next week and literally threatens someone's life. I think I might be waiting a while. And no, telling JuJu he's next doesn't qualify.
You're defending Burfict? He's pretty indefensible.

I remember that play. It was dirty, and clearly done up big precisely because of who was getting the hit. The Steelers' reaction was even worse. I stand by my point of view overall on the group of them. Call me when JJSS (or any of them) behave similarly to a player not named Vontaze Burfict.

I'd like him gone because his play has declined severely, he's always at risk of suspension and he can't stay healthy when he's on the field. But the stuff the Steelers have done to him (and gotten away with - Christ, JuJu standing over him wasn't even penalized) is every bit as bad as what he's done, and much worse in some cases.

I agree. It’s a Sicilian thing between Rudy - who’s clearly a Bengals fan because only one of those and Burfict’s mom would defend his actions - and I as fellow AFC North fans played out in a predominantly AFC East forum.

He should be taking joy in the idea that Steeler fans have to be Browns fans next week. Now that is funny, and much more effective than trying to argue that anyone in the NFL is in Burfict’s class when it comes to getting down in the mud.

Burfict had it coming. This isn't to defend Juju, it was a cheap shot. But Juju isn't a cheap shot artist, he was delivering some payback to one of the dirtiest players in the NFL.

I don't want to defend the Steelers, but Burfict is a piece of garbage. And he's always been a piece of garbage. He plays to injure people and he's been doing it for years. Juju doesn't play to injure anyone.

They must think the KC run defense in the middle is the weak spot, because they usually run off tackle more.

JuJu was flagged for it and suspended a game.

He doesn't play to injure anyone except when he played to injure someone, stood over him and then had a planned celebration about it the next week.

There's no question Burfict is dirty. There's also a ridiculous double standard. Both can be true.

Both could be true. But both, in this instance, are not true. There are no both sides here. Burfict is a dirty player who attempts to hurt other players. He's been doing it for years. To not expect some sort of reaction from players he's trying to kill is insane.

If you go around punching people in the face, someone might hit back and kick the crap out of you. It would be your fault.

I just don't understand how these teams lose Kareem Hunt and Spencer Ware and put a guy in who looks like Walter Payton.

Meanwhile, the Pats have Burkhead.

Interesting, NBC goes out to commercial playing one of The Killers Christmas songs. Their Christmas songs are some of the more underrated Christmas songs out there.

He was flagged for the hit, but not for the unsportsmanlike conduct. There should have been two fouls.
Not right. Two fouls against JuJu on the play - illegal blindside block and taunting. The second was declined because apparently both could not be enforced. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201712040cin.htm#all_pbp

What you wrote earlier didn’t even suggest you knew he was flagged for both acts AND suspended, and it contributes to your insistence in painting Burfict as a victim, which is a reach to put it mildly. Just write #GoBrowns and be done with it. This sucks more than having your team out of the playoffs.

.
Although we'll always have these. Burfict stomping on Blount's leg after a TD and taking out Martellus.

One is a live-ball foul and one is a post-play foul. I'll gladly stand corrected if @CFB_Rules can say that it was enforced properly. I knew both fouls were called and he was suspended, but I was under the impression they should have both been enforced.

As for the other stuff, seriously, imagine if Burfict tweeted a death threat at a Steeler. The world might literally end, but when Vince Williams does it it's just good ol' Steeler football.

First paragraph: One would think that would be fair and probably the rule, but that’s not what the box score indicated. It noted “declined” for the taunting penalty. I assume that’s because both 15-yard penalties couldn’t be enforced.

Second paragraph: What any other player did, Steeler or otherwise, does not compare with Burfict’s body of work. I know I’m not alone here. He is a man without equal this department in today’s game. To the relief of everyone else here, I don’t have anything else to add.

How does this challenge work? It is clear the ball was tipped but looked like the KC DB was interfering with Baldwin the entire route. As the booth ref said the proper call was probably holding.

Also can we break the Burfict talk into the CIN or PIT thread. Has zero bearing on this weeks games.

Reid would just fuck the challenge up at some other point in the game, so really it's no big loss to him.
