85+ yards is much more daunting than <60 with no TO. god job Doug.

where was this team in the SUper Bowl again? fucking defensive talent drain.

Probably wish they spiked it after those first two first downs now. Probably have about 20-25 seconds right now.

Eagles win out and Minny drops one down the stretch and they’re in. Next week will be their SB. Perfect.

Yeah, I was obviously being sarcastic. And Brady missed White who was wide open on 3rd and 15. He could have done better.
Sure, if you think he has eyes in the back of his head, like I said in the game thread. It's unbelievable. People just see an open receiver and assume the quarterback should see that. Let's not account for the fact that the first reads are in the other direction, and all of the pressure is in between Brady and James White. Just have him turn into that pressure and hope he gets it right, because if he gets sacked, it's over.

I know you were. Well, for some reason Gurley didn’t go OB, so maybe White doesn’t either.
I just wish the Pats would stop committing so many penalties in the red zone.
On the positive side, maybe Philly wins again next week.

I hear you. I’m the James White fan boy on this site so I would have trusted him to make the right decision. Either way, Houston better bring it next week because Philly will be fired up and playing for their playoff lives. Tough to match that kind of intensity on the road.

I fully expect Philly to win.

What makes you say that? I think he's been fine
Collinsworth kept going to his theme that everything that worked for the Eagles last season was destined not to work for them this year. Of course that wasn't the case and while I understand these announcers/color people need a narrative, this wasn't especially relevant at this point in the game. I mean, its a one score game with a team that is capable of putting up scores very quickly. All he had to do was tell the story of the schemes etc.

Truth be told, Romo was much better during the Patriots game, even if I don't love some of his "wellllllll..." and "ooooohhhh..." shtick that he does every time there is a close play or a challenge.

And heavyde - I was being sarcastic too. I want to forget certain events of this Sunday. I shall never speak of them again!

Rams finish with Cardinals (away) and Niners (home). If they somehow drop one of those and the Bears win out against Niners and Vikings, then the Bears get the 2 seed. Never would have guessed that a couple weeks ago.

Top 3 seeds in each league are now 5-7 the last two weeks. Nobody is peaking right now.
It's pretty wide open. The only teams I think are really on their game right now are the Bears, Saints, Chargers, and Texans.

Bears: won 7 of their last 8, and that one loss was by three in OT
Saints: won 11 of their last 12, and that one loss was by three in Dallas
Chargers: won 10 of their last 11, and that one loss was by one in Denver
Texans: won 10 of their last 11, and that one loss was by three in Indy

Meanwhile...

The Pats have lost two in a row, and three of their last five.
The Steelers have lost three of their last four.
The Chiefs are 2-2 in their last four, with one of their wins being a very lucky OT win at home vs Bal.
The Rams have lost two in a row, and three of their last six.

That was a tremendous play call on 4th. Defense completely sold out once ball went to McCaffrey.
