Witten has a miraculous ability to start a thought in one place, have it finish somewhere entirely different, and have none of it apply to anything that is happening or has happened in the game.

Well, maybe one of the heads is just really small
Oooh, remember that Tales from the Crypt with Don Rickles as the ventriloquist and he secretly had a twin brother that was on his hand and he cut it off and it attached to the other guys hand and he put it in the blender?

Just dropped in to say this Texans team looks like a true Super Bowl contender, but that already seems to be a majority opinion.
They were dead and buried after their 0-3 start but 8 in a row will make you look good. But they're not really world-beaters. They've:

- won by three vs Indy when Indy was bad
- won by three vs Dal when Dal was bad
- won by seven vs Buf
- won by two at Den (not an easy place to play but still)
- won by two at Was

So they all count, but that's not exactly murderer's row, and if the Pats had won like that, we'd all be thinking that they're really not that good (NE, that is).

But they have a good defense (16.3 ppg in their last seven) and Watson is dynamic.

As we’ve sadly found out, you don’t need to be a world beater to win a SB, you just need to play well down the stretch. And the Texans are currently playing well. Watt looks healthy. Lamar Miller is running well. And Watson is getting healthier. I still rank them as the 4th best AFC team but this Texans team looks a lot more legit than their previous versions. They are a real threat to take the 2 seed.

Unlike prior years, they have a QB. And unlike prior years, they are reasonably healthy. And while you can argue that no team can lean primarily on its defense anymore (thank you NFL), they have a defense that can steal possessions and create havoc. If you assume that everyone is likely to surrender a bunch of points, I’d rather have that than rely on red zone magic.

Yup. On the flip side, they still have a terrible game day coach in Bill O'Brien. Speaking of which, can somebody tell me why BOB let Watson drop back to pass up 17 with 2 min left? Just run it into the line and kick the FG. Instead, his franchise QB gets sacked in a season where he has already taken far too many hits.

Roethlisberger, as is his wont, helpfully pointing out who around him screwed up during a Pittsburgh loss.
This time it's James Washington, who dove for a ball along the sideline and had it but lost control of the ball upon impact with the ground.

"He has to make it," Roethlisberger said. "I just think he didn't trust his hands. For some reason, he jump/dove. I'm not really sure what he was doing. We look at it (on film), and coach got on him pretty good yesterday.

"We took a long, hard look at it. James needs to run through that, and it's a touchdown."

How about that game ending INT, Ben? Whose fault was that?
You're missing the point. If Washington comes up with that catch, Ben never throws that INT. In fact, it would only be fair to strike that INT from his record. It really didn't count and was only the result of his teammate's failure.

Well after the game he said that the DL shouldn't have been there. He said something like "The DL is never there, but he got blocked where I was throwing and you can't anticipate that happening." Of course if the DL wasn't there the ball is either incomplete or intercepted by Roby. But later he said Brown was held by Roby which prevented the touchdown. I mean Washington dropped a touchdown, his OL blocked a guy into his passing lane, the refs blew the call...he's surrounded by idiots again.

It’s almost like things have happened in Ben’s life that lead him to believe he’s not responsible for his actions.
