And because the NFL has wrecked the onside kick — any suspense here?

Playing "make it take it" 4th down instead of onside kicks sounds like something the XFL would do, yeah let's just completely change the rules of football.

He had Aaron Rodgers all those years and won only 1 SB.

Entirely fair.

Don Shula had Dan Marino all those years, no salary cap constraints, was as powerful as BB and won no SBs with him. The one Marino reached. — they got poleaxed.

How many players have been badly hurt on onside kick attempts.
It's not the onside kick that the rule change was for. It was for kickoffs in general. The problem you can't really have two sets of rules, one for onside, and one for regular kickoffs, unless you now expect teams to announce that they are going onside. (although I bet most teams would be fine announcing they are going onside if it meant they could do it under the old rules)

Hear you and agree in all respects. Right now, it’s not a viable play.

Have they ever actually mentioned that stat on tv?
I heard it during the week leading up to the Pats game, and I can't remember if it was on tv, or on sports radio. I'm guessing it was tv, but I forget.

I tried to do some research, but got bored, but I couldn't find any come from behind wins by Aaron against good teams.

Trailing 20-3 against the Bears in Week 1 entering the 4th Quarter. Won 24-23. I assume this does not show up in the stat until the Bears win their 9th game this season so the stat is valid for at least 7 more days.

If it's week 1, the Bears were 0-0, so they weren't above .500 at the time.

And if I remember that game correctly, Rodgers threw what should have been a brutal game-ending interception that was dropped by Fuller.
That may have been one of the easiest interceptions that was dropped all year so far.

Edit - but Rodgers was great in that second half and the final drive was also great (after the dropped interception).

I heard this AM Rodgers is 0-37 when trailing by more than 1 point in the 4th qtr to teams with winning records.

here's a similar cite from Jan '17, looks like the original research was Scott Kacsmar @ FO.

The Hackett firing is fascinating to me. He received a lot of praise when the Jags scored 45 points on the Steelers in the division round and for his first half game plan against the Pats in the AFC Championship game last year. He is obviously getting blamed for Bortles not becoming an adequate QB. I wonder if he was ordered to call all those 4th quarter runs last week vs the Steelers. Seems like the fall guy.
