It is the Super Bowl of course, and every team you face in the Super Bowl is going to be a good team (2006 Bears notwithstanding), but isn't this probably the best possible matchup we could've hoped for? Wentz less Eagles?

I seriously think I'd rather face the Eagles over any other team in the NFC

Panthers
Saints
Falcons
Rams
Vikings (at home)

all those look like tougher matchups to me. Obviously the Eagles were great tonight but everyone has good nights. I'm feeling very confident about ring #6

Super Bow MVP Nick Foles doesn’t seem realistic to you either?

Ok well maybe these teams don't represent a coin flip.

The Eagles will be challenging in the way that Jacksonville was challenging. They have a strong defense backing it up the quarterback without extra rushers. On offense they don't really have an identity Beyond moving the ball. The run it if they can run it they will pass it to the tight ends of they can pass the Titans and it'll pass to the wide receiver so they can do that. And they have talent that each one of those positions. They will by definition take what you give them.

Foles with a near perfect rating against a great defense is a bit more than just a good night. But, there were a lot of good NFC teams this year. The Super Bowl was never going to be a cakewalk.

Watching the Eagles step on the throats really brings home how easily things could have spiraled out of control for the Pats if not for a boatload of fantastic defensive stands in the 2nd half.

The cradle of the game.
There was 1 season ages ago where the Pats making the playoffs required like 8 things to fall into place over the last 4 or 5 weeks. And every one of those things happened.

This post season, hell this whole season, seems exactly like that.

And ballgame.
