I was in Jacksonville in 2005 for the last Pats/Eagles Super Bowl. There were legions of Eagles fans there without tickets to the game just roaming the streets of Jacksonville, and as far as I can tell their only goal in being there was to generally act like a bunch of assholes.

I have nothing against the Eagles franchise, but their fans suck.
Yeah. Not looking forward to that.

One of the rare things that Cowboys, Giants, and Redskins fans all agree on are that Eagles fans are the absolute worst.

So instead they’ll freeze their asses off in Minny?

Hey guys, guys listen, I had one teaser with the Pats and over 33 in this game and another with the Pats and under 45.5. Middled and won them both $$$!

26-33, 144 rating against a good defense. That's an all-time shocking and shit kicking performance right there.

Poor Vikes fans. Can you imagine losing an AFCCG and then having to host the SB and all the obnoxious fans of the team that just destroyed you?

I was at the opening game of the LINC when NE beat PHI. The fans were entirely enabled by security who took the approach of basically, don't wear opposing team's gear in PHI. Fuck the entirety of that city.
I was worried about MN having a home game for the SB but PHI travels probably better than any other city for being as mediocre as they have been. I"ll be surprised if it isn't at least 75/25 PHI in two weeks.

As it gets closer to game time it should move more toward 50/50 as the Eagles fans get carted off to local holding cells.

I don’t give a shit about their fans, I like this Philly team.

Should be a good SB.

Did Chris Long just say during the post-game that most teams fold their tents after getting down by 7? o_O
Did anyone else hear it?

Edit: God I'm an idiot. I simply hit "rewind" and VOILA. He DID say that. "We got down by 7 early. Most teams would have folded their tents but not us."

Guess the Super Bowl is gonna be the full 60 minutes then.

Well, if the Pats fall behind early in this one, I guess instead of leaving, Marky Mark can just put on his Papale jersey and start rooting for the Eagles.

The eagles quarterback coaches are the best in the league and the pass rush is as good as anyone's.

It's gonna be a good game, it's gonna be a lot of short passes over and over for the pats.

Also this team has 20/22 starters locked up for next year, and no Wentz (or Peters or Hicks or sproles or Hicks backup ) so I think the pats win but the eagles window is opening.

It reminds me a little of the pats Rams

Agreed with all this. Win or lose, the Eagles look like a team with a great chance to be back in this game again in the next few years.

Congrats on the win and good to see you back on the site.

Yeah, boss at a law firm I summered at in Philly gave me tickets to go to a Phillies-Red Sox interleague day game and it was one of those things where you kinda feel like you’re going to get jumped at any given moment.

The path should be favored but let's make no mistake that this is a good Eagles team. If once is healthy they would be favored. I believe that. And that's no disrespect to the Patriots. I think that this will be a 10-point win one way or the other and I couldn't tell you which way it's going to be

Brady/Bill have never won nor lost by more than 7 in the SB, why would this year be different?

I don't know. I'm just some guy. All I know is both teams are strong but not perfect. They match up well and present challenges both ways.

Wentz isn’t worth >7 points. You’re also ignoring Edelman, Hightower, Cannon if we’re adding in injured players. The eagles are a good young team with a nice story, but they are significant underdogs and they should be.

Because none of that has any impact on this game?
If NE was 7.5 over JAX at home (didn't cover) what is the basis for them being 7+ pt favorites in a neutral location?
Genuinely curious as to how that happens. By most advanced stats PHI is superior to JAX.

They're not 7 point favorites.

Perhaps Vegas gives Pats a bump because they have guys that have been there before? Maybe they don't really trust Foles? I don't know. I do know Vegas builds huge ass casinos and basically knows what they are doing.
