This night was the culmination of the four years Cleveland spent tanking, when three of their five top 4 picks were Thompson, Waiters, and Bennett. Shit luck to have that run coincide with some really poor drafts, but boy did they make the worst of it, Kyrie aside. And then they made the worst of that anyway in the end.

Here
TT is evidence why you do not give limited role players a big second contract. Danny probably knows this about Marcus Smart.
LeBron was basically threatening to leave over it, so Gilbert had no choice.

To be fair, without maybe the best roster ever in his way, LeBron probably has at least one more in Cleveland.

Would Kobe have won MVP in 2010 if the refs had not stolen the series?

There wasn't an obvious choice for the Celtics.
Kobe wasn't even the best player on his own team that series, no way he sniffs mvp if they lose a game 7 at home where he shoots 6/24

I'm at the point where I'll be disappointed if the Celtics don't dethrone these guys. Which is admittedly burdening them with unrealistic expectations. But that's where I'm at, and I doubt I'm the only Celts fan who feels that way.

Next season is title or bust. Fair or unfair, that's going to be the expectation.

West is the only loser to win Finals MVP; and he averaged 38 a game while pushing the Celtics to 7 games and put up a 42-13-12 in the Final game. LeBron didn’t really put up that kind of a game in the close out game. To be honest; I think Durant had a better series than James. That isn’t super fair given their respective roles, but James had the monster game one but Durant outplayed him in the final three games and LeBron wasn’t great in the OT of game one or down the stretch in Game 3 and those were the two games Cleveland could have won.

Could the Celtics and Cavs combined roster best this warriors team in the finals? (Assuming no Kyrie or Heyward)
Yes. I think the Celtics plus LeBron would have been a good series. LeBron and Horford's ridiculous IQ would have gotten Tatum/Brown a million easy looks a night. Brad would have run a huge 'small' lineup of LeBron-Brown-Tatum-Horford-Love with a great bench behind it.

LeBron James: “I pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand”
James just can't just lose.. there's always something. His hand may indeed be broken, but was it really one of the first things to talk about after getting swept other than to make excuses?

Show your work. Lists his excuses after the other finals losses.

Are we supposed to believe that James seriously played three games of NBA basketball with a broken hand and nobody noticed?
