Payback PI and then a TD. That ended up being a solid sequence for Ohio State.

I wonder if MD scores, will they go for 2?

Win or lose, the committee has to take into account that Ohio State even got to this point. That is now two mediocre teams Ohio State has struggled with, which should itself be disqualifying from the playoff if Clemson, Bama, ND, and the Big 12 winner win out.

It obviously depends on other teams, but I don't disagree with this. The Nebraska game and this game are ridiculous.

The conventional wisdom seems to be that if you are the underdog you have more of a reason to go for two. I think it should actually be the reverse - if you are the underdog you should try to draw out the game as long as possible and make the other team take care of its business. If you are the favorite, though, I think it makes more sense to want to step on the throats of the opposing team with your talent advantage.

(Going for two especially makes little sense in this instance because Maryland was having its way with the Ohio State D - it's not like they got lucky on that possession and didn't think they could score again.)

What a joke in the Michigan-Indiana game - they talk about protecting players, but the allow a play to go on when the QB is wrapped up, being thrown around, with a defensive player laying on his lower leg.

Thought the same thing. Not calling the QB down there is telling the defense it needs to pile onto a vulnerable QB in the grasp. But then knowing this crew, they’d have flagged Michigan for a late hit or targeting had a player done so.

Embarrassing showing for Syracuse. Completely.destroyed their progress.among casual fans, among NYC fans, and among national voters and bowl chairs. Awful.

Absolutely craptastic weekend of SU sports. Well, if they beat BC next week they're still going to a really good bowl, and this year was tremendous progress, but man what a beating today. Hard to believe this is the same team that should have beaten Clemson on the road.

I haven't watched much Syracuse this year, so how big a loss was Dungy? I couldn't really tell if DeVito sucked because he sucks or because of the ND D.

The leading wide receiver in college football, Andy Isabella, of the UMASS Minutemen, had 15 catches for 217 yards and 2td's against #5 ranked Georgia. The kid is fucking awesome. He had over 300 yards receiving a game 2 weeks ago.

Wisconsin/Purdue heading into the 3rd overtime at 41-41. Jonathan Taylor has 274 yards rushing for Wisconsin. Crazy game.

So fucking stupid not to use a timeout there.

CLOCK THE FUCKING BALL AFTER THE FIRST DOWN. WHY ARE TEAMS SO FUCKING STUPID?

West Virginia is going to run out of time and go into the locker room with 2 timeouts in their pocket. That is fucking unconscionable.

And West Virginia runs out of time, even though they still had a timeout in their pocket, and 2 more downs to use. Not using the timeout after the first play of the drive cost them about 20 seconds, and then not clocking it after getting the first down cost them another 5-6. They should be sitting at the 14 yard line with 2nd and 10, and about 30 seconds to go. Instead, the game is over. I don't understand how big time college coaches and NFL coaches don't understand end of game clock management yet. I just don't understand it.
