If the road team is favored by 15 points in the presumptive game of the year, college football has a big problem.

Apparently Nebraska was trying to surprise Ohio State with an early onside kick, but their kicker surprised everyone by missing the football. The Buckeyes with fantastic field position decided to prove to everyone that they have a running game (spoiler: they don't)... and turned it over on downs. Early on, it looks like the bye week just allowed the Buckeyes to get too far inside their own heads.

...and Nebraska's punt is blocked through the end zone for a safety. This is some ugly yet entertaining football.

This 3:00 slate has not nearly lived up to it's potential.
I think people knew Georgia and Michigan we’re capable of blowouts. However, the Texas-WVU and Iowa-Purdue games are essentially conference elimination games and have been entertaining. It’s fair to say though neither game really has national championship implications.

Dominant win by the U of M. They probably should have decided to start their revenge tour in week one though. Oh well.

Harbaugh with a BS challenge of a completion to preserve shutout with 3 minutes left in 42 -0 game.

Happily the shutout was broken.

Elsewhere in hilarious division leaders, Utah is about to be tied with Arizona and Pitt overtook Virginia last night.

West Virginia just scored to make 41-40 against Texas, and they are going for 2. They completed it, but Texas got a time out. Then they went for it again, and got it on a Grier run. 42-41. Ballsy call. Now, there's a flag down though.

West Virginia had the game won and Texas got a 2nd time-out in.
They win anyways (most likely) on the QB keeper.
Unsportsmanlike penalty on Grier.
Wow.

Edit - Beaten to it two posts up.

UMass and Liberty 59-59 in 3OT on NESN with GRESH providing color.
UMASS WR, Andy Isabella, who came into the game one of the leading receivers in the nation with about 1,100 yards had 9 catches for 303 yards and 2td's in this one, and did not catch a ball after the beginning of the 4th quarter.

Why would LSU defer when their best defensive player is out for the first half? First mistake made on the sideline for LSU tonight.

12 men on the field on defense, 3rd and 10 becomes 3rd and 5. First down on the next play for 'Bama. Sideline mistake #2.

Holy shit. Tua just got blown up on a false start, and Hurts is hurt too. This could be really bad for 'Bama.

Please don’t throw Delpitt out of this game. It then won’t be a game.

Wow, two obvious personal fouls on LSU not called.

I’m ok with the Delpit hit not being called, but that’s been consistently called targeting in the college games I’ve seen this year. He didn’t mean to hit him in the head, but he led with his head.

That's a miraculous overturn. They usually stick with that call with any helmet contact.

This may be the best game we get all year.

Put nos 2 through 4 against these guys on a neutral field and see what happens. Assuming health, of course.
