It’s 7:57 p.m. and OU still sucks.

This post comes from the Dallas suburbs. Horns up, phones down signs are up from TxDOT.

I passed about 40 of those signs on the drive from Austin to Dallas today. I scheduled some work in Dallas for tomorrow and am using some hotel points to stay over to Saturday. I'm letting my kids skip school tomorrow and we're going to the State Fair on Saturday. I've been to the Fair plenty of times, but never on the UT/OU gameday. I'm looking forward to being in the middle of it, even if I'm not going to be in the stadium. Of course, I'll be listening to the roars of the crowd while trying not to get too distracted and lose my 2nd and 3rd graders parenting solo because my wife will be on the UT sideline. Her biggest anxiety is falling down while running out of the tunnel. I definitely got the short straw in this arrangement.

I was forced to watch the OU-military game. If Ehlinger can move the sticks, UT definitely has a shot.

Nice for the wife!

But gird yourself. The State Fair on Texas/OU day is an absolute zoo and incredibly crowded. In addition to the already tens of thousands of people there, Fair Park is jammed with about 60,000 more people, a lot of them okies. The lines are stupidly long for everything. Last year it took us like two and a half hours to get from our seats in the Cotton Bowl to our hotel on Mockingbird the crowds were so thick.

Louisville gave up 66 points and 542 yards rushing (and 12 passing) to a team that you know is going to run the same 5 plays every game every year, that's embarrassing.

If the Longhorns are smart, they will keep OU's defense on the field for a L-O-N-G time. The OU defense is mediocre, and becomes more mediocre as it tires out.

I’ve been in two fights in my life. One was over a girl, the other against some inbred Oklahoma fuck throwing the horns down.

There are several Kansas fans in my family, so I follow that program casually. Watching them attempt to play offense is extremely hard to watch.

I can’t wait for the 30 for 30 on Will Grier’s point shaving. He has thrown 3 interceptions inside the 5.
