I thought he was fine. A little rust maybe, but no glaring issues. They scored twice, but he contributed to a PP was a tad shaky in terms of coughing the puck up and giving up chances. His first game back, it’ll come.
B’s did a pretty good job against Carolina, especially with a short handed D. They lost on the shot clock, but everyone’s done that against Carolina this year. Chances ended up being close to even, 27-24 Canes at ES, but the B’s actuallh had the edge in high danger chances, 12-8. That is a good defensive effort. Despite the volume of shots edge, the B’s made it manageable for Halak who was outstanding again.
Layers, layers, layers. I really want to see the shot locations for carolina if they're available somewhere. It seemed like all their shots came from either along the goal line, but from 5-10 feet wide, or from behind the dots. Those are low percentage shots, and those are the kind its ok to give up a ton of.
I just priced out how much it would cost airfare-wise to go Portland-Anaheim, LAX-San Jose, San Jose- Portland in February to see 3 games. $400 in airfare, $400 in Air BnB, + whatever tickets cost. If I get the job I interviewed for yesterday, I might treat my self.
Guest, I have a big favor to ask you. We've been working very hard to establish ourselves on social media. If you like/follow our pages it would be a HUGE help to us.
