Wind is indeed blowing. Looks like there could be carnage. Only 2 players under par on the course (Spieth -2, McGirt -1).

The players probably hate it, but 9 is a fun little hole with this pin placement and the wind blowing.
Fox just did a little feature on it--it was originally a "bye hole" that they built because they had the space, but ended up using it when they realized how much of a US Open hole it could be. Pretty interesting.

Had never heard of a "bye hole" until that feature. This story lists a few others.

Another hour before the leaders tee off. It's been a long wait, but worth it. I think Fox's coverage has been strong, it's just that the course is somewhat bland.

Despite the lack of big names, gonna be one hell of a finish with the density at the top of the leaderboard. Especially with a downwind par 5 18.

Fox's shot tracker showed the shot before Harman hit it. That was funny. I know it's hard to sync them up but it's better to be late than early.

Was going to say that I think this is quickly becoming Koepka's to lose, but Fowler with a great save for par there.
If Fowler keeps putting the way he has all week, nobody is going to run away from him. Him and Snedeker (shocking, I know) have been incredible with the flat stick.

Yea some of these camera angle choices on the greens are terrible and they go to the ones in the fairways too late.

That pin on 6 looks impossible to get at. Like a foot past the false front. Have to fly it to the hole, can't stop it quick enough to get it close.

Fleetwood's birdie putt was like my putt. Off line from the moment it's hit.

Also, the closest former major winnner is Sergio, who is 9 strokes off the lead.

Lol "say hello to your mother to me" after Koepka's tee shot. Haven't heard that one before.
If we get to the point where there are way way way too many people in the world, one way to start culling the population would be to just eradicate anyone who screams "Get In The Hole," on any tee shot, even the Par 3's.

What do they do at the Masters to prevent aholes from screaming at every shot and to prevent blimps loudly flying over the course? Fox and the USGA should watch and learn. It's not the horror show the first Fox telecast was, but it still sucks compared to a routine NBC or CBS telecast.

The Masters is owned by the tyrants who run Augusta National, not the PGA or USGA. So they have free reign to eject anyone who does not act with what they feel is appropriate decorum. (Note: unsure why the USGA or PGA does not follow their lead for their tournaments.)

The plane thing is about air traffic control. My guess is that a course in rural Wisconsin has no restrictions on the airspace, so nothing that Fox can do about it.
