Giving up a first for Cooks hurts. The Patriots have had 3 of the past 5 years with no 1st round pick and one of the years they made a pick it was Dominique Easley. You can't do that and it's a huge reason for the talent drain on defense.

This team also doesn’t make the Superbowl without Cooks. He was very, very good this season.

at least I remember him making plays and seemed to be off the inactive list

Definitely enjoyed Hollister more in his few chances and he was gold in the preseason with Austin Carr.
