Day 2 Mock

http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2017/04/28/nfl-draft-friday-day-2-rounds-2-3-mock-draft

No. 72 New England Patriots (from Carolina): Tim Williams, OLB, Alabama
Ah, the Patriots pick at last! They actually get a first-round pass rushing talent in Williams, who slipped because of character concerns.

No. 96 New England Patriots: Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland
The Division-II prospect is a big pass-catcher who is said to have Rob Gronkowski-like traits.

Pats pick breakdown tonight:

2nd Round:
Patriots do not currently have a 2nd round pick, sending that to CAR for DE Kony Ealy and a 3rd round pick (#72). If you're only interested in the Pats, I suggest you sit out the first hour or so of coverage to save your sanity.
3rd Round:
#72. As noted, rec'd from CAR, this is the 8th pick in the round.
#96. Last pick before compensatory picks get started (11 at the end of R3). Could be a trade spot if a team wants to jump the comp picks to get their guy.

Rest of the draft:
4th Round: #131
5th Round: #183 (comp pick)
6th Round: #200
7th Round: #239

Also- for the first time, compensatory picks can be traded.

I'd sign up for this in a heartbeat

First hour? I'd probably skip the first 2 hours and still have time before the Pats pick.

I could see Jordan Evans being a fit on the outside. He really came into his own in 2016. He looks like a 4th/5th rounder, but he seems like the kind of player someone may reach on.

With AH's death so strongly in everyone's minds, I expect the Pats will stay away from character question guys this year.
Not everyone with character concerns is a murderer. Why would this be different than any other year when he was in prison or facing a trial?

Man, this is a super-un-Patriotsy duo. A lot of splash plays, not a lot of play-to-play consistency.
The Patriots seem to have shown a lot of interest in Tabor- meeting with him at the combine and bringing him in for an official visit. I don't quite get the attraction myself, but if he's available I wouldn't be surprised if they took him.

I like Tabor quite a bit in that range, but more for a zone team. For as much man-to-man as the Patriots have played in recent seasons, the fit is curious.

This is like the beginning of a Monday Night Raw. If only HBK would come out and super kick Goodell through a window.

Really like the Kevin King pick for GB, like him a lot as a player and a big fast CB was exactly what they needed.

So can we start talking about how awesome it's going to be to have Butler and Gilmore side by side?!

Because even though we didn't get the fireworks during the draft, the end result is maybe the best secondary in the NFL...along with the best offense in the NFL. Along with arguably the best future at QB in the NFL.

Can make a good argument that they have the best QB, best WR corp, best TE group, best defensive back group (including safeties), and best coach in the league.

They are a legitimate threat to go undefeated.

Why must everything be spoiler free? The networks have agreed to hold off annoucing picks in advance. Just curious? Hard to keep up with all the trades.
